I've salivated over The Woes on here before and now you can have the chance to see them in your neck of the woods, because they're going on tour throughout the midwest and southeast next month.

I saw them open for Langhorne in Brooklyn in April, and they were incredible. Think Wu-Tang Clan with a dixie jazz/bluegrass/country/rockabilly bent (there are 30 members, but they usually play in groups of 7-13, but up to 20). I actually met the lead singer at the HGTR show in Brooklyn a few weeks ago, and he was incredibly gracious and - as a bonus - said he is a big fan of the Avetts! Smiling

If they are coming anywhere near you, PLEASE do yourself a favor and check them out, and then let me know what you think!

Saw these guys with Langhorne at Cat's Cradle, awesome band! Can't wait to get home from work and see when/where they are coming to NC! (myspace is blocked by the man)

Thanks Heidis! They're playing in Chattanooga one week after HGTR (at the same venue). I'll be checking them out for sure, and listening to them right now Smiling

Yeah, and I'm bummed I'll miss that show, but I'll be in Boston to see the Avetts that night. So not too bummed. But a little. Eye-wink
