I'll most certainly be there, though I haven't decided if I'm wearing a costume. I do know that the boys will be dressing up!

i saw minus the bear last halloween and didnt dress up.
though i wished i did now. i won't be making that mistake again.

ugh, i want to go so badly, dressing up and Avetts, two of the best things! working at a church really blows for out of state saturday night shows... if i was just a little closer!

I am definitely going and really want to dress up...I just don't know what to be! I don't want anything that's going to be unbearably hot and I'm pretty sure any makeup would melt off. But I know if I don't I will regret it. Especially if TAB are dressed up!! I can't wait to see what they do.
The past couple years Halloween costumes for me have involved heavy wigs which wouldn't stay on with all the jumping around I plan on doing. This is something I need to figure out

It's not where I am, it's who I'm with.
My mom & sis & I are driving all the way down for the show. This kind of trip is completely out of character for both of them, but it's also exactly the kind of trip that the Avetts inspire...at least in my experience.
We haven't decided on costumes yet, but there will definitely be costumes...I too went to a show last Halloween (Crooked Still) and regretted not dressing up.

A group of four of us will be heading in from Alabama for the show. I don't know yet about costumes but I'm definitely considering it. Does anybody have suggestions about places to stay or stuff to do in Nashville. This will be my first time going. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!

I have this problem every year! I really, really want to dress up but I'm just not creative enough to think of any costume ideas. I can't tell you how many times I was either a hillbilly or a hobo for Halloween when I was a kid.
I will be there with a bunch of family/friends - in costume for sure!

Is the other half of your costume idea going to have anything that says "Sally's Lover" on him?
I've been thinking about my costume all night...currently deciding between your suggestion of the one who "Killed Sally's Lover" and my Nov Blue idea (which I've expanded upon a bit after some thinking).
If I do the Killer thing, I was going to wear a white/pale bandanna across my forehead that says "Killed Sally's Lover" in a bold black font. Instead of a name tag you could have a headband/bandanna/arm band with "Sally" on it and He could have a bandanna with "Sally's Lover" on it.
I'm falling in love with being the crazed killer actually...and the bandanna idea could link us all together...It would be cool if we were gonna be together during the show!
But yeah I think a country looking dress, and boots would fit "Sally." Possibly a cowboy hat? Or you could even be wearing a white nightgown looking dress with blood splattered all over it. But I definitely see cowboy boots in my mind when I hear this song.
What would the killer of Sally's Lover look like? Flannel, denim, splattered in blood. shotgun/blade (made of cardboard) as "murder tools" and handcuffs dangling off one wrist "cause now I am a fugitive and I'm always on the run"

You could do the bandana around the base/above the brim of the cowboy hat! I was thinking of doing a hat too, but it just depends if I can find one for cheap. Ima gonna go costume-huntin' tomorrow between work and school!

so stoked. Its my first Avett show and Halloween is my favorite holiday. My costume is also Avett-centric. I woke up one morning and decided I was gonna be "sick like audrey hepburn."
I wonder how many will be there as "the tin man"? I think I will just call myself the ugly girl from somewhere (i am a bearded man) and be done with it. I don't want a costume to take away my ability to jump around and enjoy the show. Although it will be a blast to check out all the creative ideas. I can't wait!
Gah! I soooo wish I could go to this show...I think it would be hilarious if TAB wore team Avett shirts! Or dressed as Kiss...
