HGTR in High Point 1/23

HGTR in High Point 1/23

At the still new Aquarius Music Hall in High Point, HGTR is playing with Possum Jenkins on Saturday 1/23. I believe the show is at 8 and the cover is $7. I think I'll probably make it out; it sounds just like what the doctor ordered. I haven't seen Possum Jenkins live, but I've heard many good things. Anyone else wanna' come? I've also read good reviews about the Aquarius, but it will be my first visit.

EDIT: Just to add...I can't read, and this show is actually on Friday, January 22nd. My bad. I'll let you know if there's anything else I mis-read.

I expect I will run into you there. You will like Possum Jenkins too. Doug Williams recorded their latest CD and it is their best yet.

great show....really unique venue. I didn't like the pole just left of the stage center. The stage wasn't centered between the gaps for some reason.

It was a great show. They did a lot of new stuff and old stuff revamped to be new. Hank was telling me that they closed themselves up for weeks and spent a lot of time just sitting there, just listening to music [and staring at each other] and thinking of what else they can add to each song. And whatever song Stephen did solo was amazing, really touching to me, though I wish more people had stopped talking while he was singing it. They've done some work on Death, Hopelessly Longing, and the end of Northbound...probably others that they played and I just don't remember which ones. It was noticeable to me, and I know nearly all of their songs new, old, and unreleased. Everyone needs to get out and see them; they're hitting the road again.
