Might have been to ease up the server load (IT folks jump in here) but the site is running much more quickly over the last 72 hrs. Not sure when the birds disappeared but might be related.

The Store looks different. I want my bird back darnit. I'd rather sacrifice a new store look and have my little birdie back.
Site ran fine before that change.
If we don't get the birds wonder if something will replace them? Flowers, trees, buzzing bees?

@littleman--so jealous of your Pickathon trip, and mostly that you're seeing everyone--gonna have to keep it seriously on the radar for next year. please give humongous hugs to our mutual PNW friends. I miss them already and it's only been a week. can't wait to meet you in Nashville!

and yeah, can't imagine why the birds would affect speed, but I'll take speed if it matters. though, I did wonder if maybe if was that we were getting avett replacements, blasto.

Chilixx, Pickathon is worth your trip. I originally went just to see The Avett Brothers (my first time!) and this year will be my 5th Pickathon. I just keep going back. So much fun, good people and great music. Let us know if you come next year. We will have your camp site saved.

Maybe someone broke in and demanded that somebody free them. Glad they are gone, and hope they stay gone. They got progressively less interesting as one ascended the bird scale, and I think I needed 16000 points to reach the next bird.
