Anyone else on this forum going to the IA City show? I don't know IA City all that well - where would be a good spot?

And what's with the seating?... the boys are much better if you can move / dance around IMO.

I haven't bought my tickets, but I just looked earlier and it said GA. Is it seated??? I am going to talk to weightoflies about the area before I book a room. I'll let you know what I find out.

Well, the last show I was at there was Iron and Wine last summer and it was seated. From what I remember it was a nice old theater with lighted walk path etc... so either the seats are removable and they leave the carpet pathways / lights or just first come.. first serve on the seats?.. guess it will be a surprise! Smiling

I am sending a friend to this show, it will be her first one. Only song she had heard was "If It's The Beaches", then heard "I & Love & You" that I posted to my facebook page and fell in love with it. I told her about the show and she purchased tickets immediately!

I am really tempted to come down to my old stomping grounds for that show!!! Ugh!! I just bought tickets to Reno though...so I think Im going to have to pass. I lived in Iowa City for 12 years prior to moving to North Dakota. The Englert is a really nice venue...it is seated..very comfy seats at that! I wonder how long the lines will be before the show since it is GA? There are some great bars too!

I am flying over from NC to visit my brother in Ames, IA - and we are going to the Iowa City show. From what it looks like, the GenAdmission is gonna be like the Asheville NYE show - first come first serve seating? I am hoping it's a small crowd - which considering my last show was the 6000 people in Charlotte, hehehehe, shouldn't be too disappointing for me. Smiling

Slykwilli, I think I might have seen you there. Were you wearing a Team Avett shirt and sitting in the middle sections of seats?
