Thanks for the speedy post Deadhead!! What was the brand new song like? Do you remember any of the lyrics?
Everything is kind of blurry right now because it was such an amazing night and I'm still processing. I don't remember any lyrics, but it was definitely a strong, pretty song. I'm sure the other Indy folks can provide more/better details after they put themselves back together.
HOLY $&#@
nothing short of thankful!
traveling song!
bella donna!
nothing short of thankful!?!
Jamaica Farewell? What the...?? Was it in a Harry Belafonte style or Jimmy Buffett style? Why can't I be at every show? UGH!
Awesome. That's all I got.
And was it just me or did they tease "old Joe Clark" at the end of Laundry Room? Maybe just a little wishful thinking on my part, but I swear I heard it in there just a little. Just a little? ha
Denouncing November Blue was at audience request. New song was awesome. Kick drum heart was also awesome.
I think they were just trying to save the song. What happen to the back up banjo?
It was "Seth Style" - like only he could do it!
Maybe once I have clicked my heels and I'm back in Kansas I will have something more to write about the show. I am off to spend the day in various midwestern airports...
I think Scott broke 22 strings on the first song! ha
I know! That's what I said! 'Lover Like You'?! That's on my top 3 songs I've never heard live. Keep on bringing it, boys...like I wasn't already excited enough to see them tomorrow in Chattanooga. This setlist is awesome!
Nothing Short of Thankful?! Ugh. They better keep this up for the LA/Solana Beach shows.
Bella Donna! Nothin' Short of Thankful! Travelin' Song! AAHH
hey someone needs to shout out "Kind of In Love" at tonight's show, that way we might hear it at the Chatty show:biggrin:
Wow! sounds like a great night. I can't wait to hear Jamaica Farewell. Wonder if its anything like the island sound on PG from San DIego
Thanks for the setlist!
This was an amazing concert...the first time I actually knew all the words (my first was in Bloomington and I came into it not quite sure about them---that changed of course!) I came alone and met some really nice people from here (I was the short one you let go to the front--thank you!!) The energy in the crowd towards the end was awesome, mostly due to the number of people who knew all the songs and yelled back. You've got a nice little group here!
This is what struck me from the show. That was the most amount of people singing every word I've ever seen at ome of their shows. I could tell Seth was taken back, in a good way, about it. Old stuff, new stuff and unreleased stuff, people knew every word all night long.
Indy became Carolina West for a night - the clip from Paranoia that i watched captured this moment perfectly - watch for it tonight on youtube.
Is it Laundry Room or Laundry Door?
Anyways, great show for sure and yes a whole hell of a lot of fans were singing just about every song
I was hoping for a Sanguine but was loving they Laundry opener and every song that followed of course
A few lines of the new song were...
Stonger n loud I lived here n now wanting out...
Rumor turn to fact, trouble we're used to it...
Wish I could see more shows
but guess I'll have to wait till June for a double header in Ohio
Thanks TAB for a real good time!
Wow. Looks like an awesome set list. Wish I could have been there.
Nothing Short of Thankful? Great.
Its really nice to see set lists and board activity directly related to the music again.
The excitement of the 09 tour is upon us. And I love it.
Keep the setlists coming.
I believe that is the typical ending to the song although it does sound a lot like OJC.
Last year in Huntsville, Alabama, I asked Scott the same question. He confirmed it is "Laundry Room"...he laughed and said that Seth fumbles on it sometimes and refers to it as "Laundry Door".
Unbelievable setlist! Im sure it was an AWESOME show to say the least! Im totally jealous!
I saw a picture someone posted on facebook of the new shirts from the show...I like! =)
Cant wait for July...Roanoke and Myrtle Beach. Seems so far away!
<-------- one insanely jealous fan! That is an amazing set list.
Please please please tell me you got Nothing Short of Thankful!!
yes, I second this!!! man oh man I'm very jealous. Here's hoping they play it in birmingham next week (i know the chances are low, but a girl can hope...)
Chrisvant, keep 'em coming!!
Oh my gosh. Just talked to my good pal MegaPav who alerted me to the Laundry Room video...EPIC!!! Thank you so much, Chrisvant! Can't wait for the rest.
Welcome jlFelix!! My boyfriend and I were the Team Avett shirts behind you! Glad you had a great show!
do you mind reposting since we can't see it anymore? thanks.
Nope, I don't mind reposting at all. I hate that the post disappeared. It's a good thing I keep a set-list notebook!
Thanks for clearing up Room-Door for me
Thank the guys y'all - i'm just pointing & shooting (and posting). (and having a riot in the meantime).
This was such an awesome set, I could hardly control myself when they opened with Laundry Room. The whole thing was spectacular!!
22 songs...Nothing Short Of Thankful!! Lover like you!! PGF Annapolis!!.... I am so jealous!
21. Skin & Bone
don't know if someone already posted this somewhere else.
@WillComply: We know it has been referred to as Skin & Bones, but to all of us that attended the Indy show it'll always be Untitled.
