I would check this out, but I'll get worried if they start collaborating. In general, guitar superpowers don't mesh well. Check out Brian May and Eddie Van Halen's "Starfleet" if in doubt.

Played at Bonnaroo I think, but I missed it.

And shame, shame, shame on me for that but I just can't got there to see a movie. A few years ago we did watch "Before the Music Dies" but only to escape the 90 plus degree day outside. Turned out to be one of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

Anyway....there were HUNDREDS of "It Might Get Loud" promo beach balls bouncing around the shows.

^ I've often wondered that. I've been a huge White Stripes fan for a while now, way before I ever heard the Avett Brothers. I could see Jack really digging TAB, and vice-versa.

I also remember Scott mentioning Jack White in an interview this past year...I forget exactly what it was about but it had to do with dealing with fame and rising popularity I believe.
