Ithaca ticketing problem?

Ithaca ticketing problem?

Anyone know what's up with tix for Ithaca? I'm trying to go through www.stateofithaca.com, but when I get to the ticketing page it currently still says "Pre-sale is SOLD OUT. Tickets will go on sale February 3, 2012 at 10:00AM

For more information, contact customer service."

Naturally, lines are all busy. At 10:00am, I could at least search for tix and it said none were available. No GA are listed, though, so I'm guessing maybe there's a problem with the site? If you've got info, post up!

Im having the same problem!

So, if you've got 2 extra tickets, I'm interested!

I couldn't get through but my friend did! good luck man

between fan club presale, state theater member presale, and state e-mail list presale, there weren't many tix left to sell today. i'm going to assume they are sold out, but i'd keep trying online and by phone. there might be some random single seats still available.

actually she went down in person and these were only three people waiting for tix.

Thanks for the updates, folks. I'll be checking throughout the day to see if anything goes up.

There are 135 tickets on Stub Hub right now, priced starting at $110. I know this might not be the place for a rant . . . but man, why can't people just be decent about tickets and leave them for fans who actually want to see the show?

she said when she got her tix at 10:10am there were 25 left

as long as people continue to be willing to buy tickets from scalpers, it's going to continue. it's up to the consumer to say no more. it also doesn't say much for all the so-called safety measures in place to prevent scalpers from getting them.
there are a bunch listed on e-bay now too

Got through to the theater. Said they are sold out online and in person.

My dad called for me this morning, and the lady said that they were sold out with in 12 minutes. So if anyone has two extra tickets that they would sell for a little under $100 please let me know. I would pay the extra money but I don't want to support all of the online scalpers and jerks.

I got tickets on Day 1. It seemed like 500 tickets went within a grand total of 12 minutes. Dan Smalls Presents had Pre-Sale available 2 days later again I think 500+ tickets were gone in the same amount of time, leaving what? In my estimation there would only be at the most 20 minutes to scoop up the remaining 600 or so tickets. If you weren't on-line and ready to click like a maniac you were not getting a ticket. It's great to see Ithaca area folks love he Avett Brothers as much as my friends and I do. I wish there was a bigger venue in the immediate area where they could have played. I know Dan Smalls tried to book this event at Ithaca College A&E Center but there was an admissions event happening and that was not to be. Albany show had pre sale tickets available through the middle of the day and maybe beyond so if you were so inclined to drive a little further you could have seen them there. I really hope people who really want to see them live dont give up trying. It's well worth a drive of up to in my opinion 1000000 miles to see The Avett Brothers play live!!!
