because it is. the past few months have been just exhilarating. love seeing the anticipation build, and other people discover them and... its just a good time. plus, its fall.

Happy Avett Brothers Day ya'll. The sun is shining in Carolina and the sky is as blue as I've ever seen it. It's fitting and I'll remember it this way.
Truer words have never been said.
I'm loving today. Having the album is making looking up restaurants that I can't afford and have to write about at work wayyyyy more bearable.
all i need now is a new Damien Rice record and my year will be perfect!!!!

yeah it was a great event , unfortunately the Avett Jubilee only lasted one year - and it was their largest show to date ( 2,000 fans, if i remember correctly)....
yeah old Pat McCrory is a bit old news - but at least he had the smarts to recognize great talent, early on

This is so funny. Before I read this I sent a few texts out randomly to friends saying Happy Avett Day.
That's how I woke up my wife to say goodbye when off to work this morning. It rolls off the tongue nicely doesn't it?

After 2 years of plugging The Avett Brothers pretty much every week, it was so awesome to get tons of texts and PM's last night/this morning from people saying they have seen The Avett Brothers' name all over the place. Letterman sure helped get the word out. 3 million or so people I suppose...
