I heard the mail truck coming around the corner and watched the driver fly right by my house. I can't describe the sadness I feel right now.

I just got a call, mine is coming today via Fed Ex so it's possible it still on it's way. Could just be shipped differently.
Mine didn't arrive either.
Tracking info says that it passed through Jacksonville this moring. A lot of times that means it would be delivered today, but guess not this time. I'm 2 hours away from Jacksonville.

I mean I got the e-mail saying it had been shipped. I received that a few days ago. Now, I just got an e-mail from skyroo saying "thank you for your recent purchase of the avett brothers album, to access the entire album now click here."

AND NO i don't want to access the entire album on the stupid link. I want my box set! Is that not the reason for pre-ordering something? gosh I sound like such a cry baby, I'm only venting
I emailed them, and they said it takes 5-10 days using USPS. I live 5 hours away from where it shipped from. It shouldn't take 5-10 days for a package to travel 5 hours.
O, I do not even want to hear about this...I am heading home now, with every imaginable body part crossed and a nod towards the sky in the hopes that it is there...if not, well...the damn alcohol...
I did receive my deluxe set by the promised date, but I feel bad for those of you that didn't. Neither the standard or expedited services that Skyroo offered during checkout were "day definite services", even though on the front page of their store they said that pre-orders would be shipped to arrive by 9/29. The USPS does offer guaranteed delivery through their express mail service if they were so-inclined, but it would have cost a lot more than what they're paying for media mail. For the price they're charging for shipping I would have hoped they would have done more to hold up their end of the agreement. This wouldn't be the first time Skyroo's been accused of false advertising.

You guys have got me worried. My mail doesn't come until around 3 or 3:30, but I am terrified that its not coming. I have waited very impatiently all day for this thing to arrive, and I am going to be devastated if it doesn't come today...

Just a quick question, on skyroo status of shipment, Ive been stuck on same status for a few days now, kind of disturbing me that nothing new has changed.

copela - yes, I'm having the same problem. I don't think the package is stuck. I'm pretty sure that USPS has a lame tracking system (compared to FedEx or UPS). My guess is the status won't be updated until it is delivered, but that just my guess.
5-10 days via USPS is a bummer. I'm on the west coast, so I may not be getting it until later this week. I'm trying to be patient, but I'd be very bummed if it doesn't make it by Saturday!

Nothing here in Wilmington either......very bummed!! Had an extra crappy day at work today and was looking forward to surrounding myself in the many treats offered in the box set. Tracked mine...in Greensboro, 2 hours and 45 minutes away. Skyroo should have shipped a little earlier to the Carolinas! Listening to the digital download, but still bummed I don't have the rest of the goodies.

Haven't gotten mine either. "Funny" thing is I ordered mine at the exact same time as a friend from the same computer. He got his 2 days ago and lives about 10 minutes from me. Go figure. I'll just be glad when it gets here and hopefully has the autographed lithograph. It should since I ordered it the day these went on sale way back when. But after reading these boards I'm not so confident.
I live in the Boro as well, and I didn't receive my package today either. I realized it wouldn't be waiting for me when PGFromWinston and I were checking the boards and order statuses during my training with her at work this afternoon. It went out on 9/25 instead of 9/24 and was stuck in Memphis yesterday; it got to Greensboro for further sorting after all the trucks had gone out. Kinda' sucks, but if I didn't already have it, I'd be going bat crap crazy. I hope my package is in good shape. I'm afraid after hearing some of the "horror" stories in another thread. I'm looking forward to getting all my cool stuff tomorrow!

Me too, TAFKAM!!! (except I'm in Memphis, not Greensboro). With windows down & sunroof open...definitely got some weird looks while on the road, though. Oh well, TAB = more than worth it!
I didn't get my box set today either.
However, a friend of mine that ordered got an email with a link or code to download the digital version that comes with the box set. Did anyone else get that email? Because I didn't.
theFAITH, I did get mine today....and tracking said Jacksonville yesterday. So you will get yours tomorrow! Although I'm not sure how Florida shipments ended up separated?
To those that haven't gotten it yet, or opened it yet....a suggestion. The sticker that seals the prints is QUITE tough....and you could end up making a mess if you aren't careful. After I realized I wouldn't be able to get the sticker off without force (I am not a 'use force' kinda guy when something is delicate).. I ended up making a perfect slice with an Xacto knife. It looks nice and clean...and I can just use another piece of scotch tape to keep it shut.
I have to say that even though I didn't get my box today, I'm having a blast listening to all these new songs. And I'm still feeling the Avett festivities abound.
Wesley, glad you got yours today. At least tomorrow I have no errands and I'll be able to sit and soak it all in for an hour or so before taking the teen to youth group. I wore my TAB shirt proudly today. Hit Starbucks to buy a copy for a friend. Shhh, don't tell her that I'm keeping the pretty picture on the front for myself. Told the Starbucks dude that the cd was the reason for my visit. Only one other copy in the stack. It was quiet in the store so he was checking out the cd and asked me what they sounded like. I thought back to the recent review and how they described the Avett sound. I whipped out my iPhone and played a bit of I and Love and You. His opinion was that the guys sounded like a bit of Tommy Petty & the Heartbreakers and the Beatles. hmmmm. Showed him a bit of a live performance of Paranoia. Said their shows were the best concerts I'd ever been to and what stand up guys they were. I told him to check them out on YouTube. He was interested for sure. I left a little happier than when I arrived.

Nada for me, but it's en route, be here tomorrow. I finally dug into the sleeve of the vinyl to find the download code. The DRM free high quality MP3s really sound great. You can hear so much detail. Now I know why RR is so proud of this production; it's excellent.
The guitar and banjo on JW sound like they're in the living room... nice
