Jill Andrews and her new band

So Jill has started to play shows again. I've gone to the the first two and i have to say she sounds better than ever. her new band sounds great too. but what is weird, josh oliver is playing piano with her. he is also playing with sam too and megan gregory played a few songs last night with them and she also plays with sam. Weird.

but anyway, her new songs are amazing. anybody else catch any of the shows yet?

I will first chance I get, but I SO WISH she and Sam would squash the rift and reunite. The fragility of his voice with the beauty of hers was a rare pairing. They were meant to sing together.

It's just so silly to me that they finally seemed to be settled on a line-up and released their best album to date ( some who have heard the album they were working on before the split say it was even better) only to break up.

I don't know ALL of the details, but I've heard stories and rumors and while it's sad when love fades, does beauty have to follow?

hear, hear, T.A.F.K.A.M, totally agree about their voices being meant to sing together- it'd be a wonderful day if they got over everything and started working together again.

I’m walking with you,
I’m walking with you,
I might miss the meaning, but I’m catching the truth

We will ever hear that album that they were working on when they split?

Jill Andrews is playing in Winston Salem October 16th. I am interviewing her and can't wait to hear her new CD. I will post the story when it is published. Any questions you'd like to ask?

So excited for her show on the 9th!

The break-up is mysterious and sad to those of us who were following them. 'Nothing Is Okay' was a very good release, and a couple new tunes I heard live seem to bode well for an exciting future.

The last time I saw them, there seemed to be some tension between Sam and Jill, and the show was poorly attended for reasons unknown. This must be hard on a talented band working toward success. I felt badly for them, and wish the promoter had worked a bit more at "promoting."

Who knows, maybe they'll get back together. If anyone is as old as me, you might remember the mid '80s thing where Coca Cola changed their formula and caused an uproar. Then they reverted back to the Classic formula to much success. I think it was a marketing ploy - if so, it was pretty ingenious and successful. I'll daydream that that is the case with The Everybodyfields.

I wonder if the canceled shows with Will Hoge had anything to do with the fizzling . . . ? We had tickets to one of those cancelled shows (late '08?).

Let them guitars blast for Ronnie and Neil"

I look forward to hearing Jill's side. Maybe I can get Yes!Weekly to let me interview Sam, too. Now wouldn't that be interesting?

Very!

Will Hoge had a wreck and nearly died. That was the reason those shows were canceled.

Jill getting pregnant, married, and then deciding she would go solo was the end of the everybodyfields.

Seeing her tomorrow night in Johnson City, TN....can't wait.
