ONSLOW BEACH--ARE YOU KIDDING ME? CLNC?-- my old stopping ground back in 80-81 with 2nd Recon Battalion!

I drive a Volvo. Try not to tease.

Yep. Onslow beach CLNC. Your old Recon Barracks are now flotsam and jetsam. Hurricane wiped them off the beach. Onslow is probably the nicest beach on the east coast, no houses, roads, nothing. Was stationed at MCAS New River and Cherry Point for 8 years total, so I spent a bit of time on that beach with a rod in my hand.

I thought I heard somewhere that Scott drove a Volvo wagon? No shame in Volvos. The more character a car has, the better.

Ragged, nasty, Jeep Cherokee with Skully plate on front and Avett Stickers on Back. Frequently seen at Starbucks drive thru windows.
Honk and wave if you're in Greenvilletown.

WantedMan

Gold Mazda 626, blaring Avett Brothers, blue stingray sitting on the dashboard (don't ask), ECU stickers on the back window, Avett stickers and more on bumper, crazy girl driving, also can be seen around Greenville and sometimes Greensboro.

Heck yeah obnoxio, I drive an '82 Mercedes 300D TurboDiesel. It's the only car I've ever owned. I love it...my dad and I replaced the fuel hoses and pump 2 years ago and I've been running mostly on biodiesel since then.

Her name is Consuela and she just hit 260k on Wednesday.

4 door, brown oldsmobile sedan (my work car)...a beat up, dead-sticker covered, white, isuzu rodeo (papa's work & family fun truck)...red Audi 80 (my baby)...We also have a VW pickup that's been sitting in our barn for about 7 years (his baby) anyone wanna VW???? Smiling

The old one: 93 Camery with 210k Bet to hell paints coming off but still starts everytime i turn the key.

The new one: 07 Highlander Hybrid

The classic: 1955 Austin Healey 100 BN1 (currently being held captive by my mechanic but hopefully for just anothe week)

93 toyota pickup! only drive about 10 miles a day and you should see the fishing spots i can get to in this one!

yay volvos! gotta love the old tanks, though i'm partial being a driver of one Sticking out tongue

I just bought a metallic green VINTAGE tandem SCHWINN bicycle (an old bicycle built for two). It rawks! Broke my finger last week whilst out on a spin. Hell on wheels, I tell ya.
All original, right down to the glittery green handle grips.

It's a beaut Smiling

a Hummer. One of the older ones thats not quite as fuel efficient as the new H2's.

I pretty much just leave it running all the time to speed up the apocalypse.

1973 Ford Mustang. 10 miles to the gallon. Just like SonicSpree, doing my part to bring on The End.

As --i think it was-- Lily Tomlin said, it's gonna get worse before it gets worse.

The Knight family tools around from show to show in their luxurious 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. Show some love for the mini-van!!

Mrs. Knight's Sebring was sold to buy the van so now she drives Mr. Knight's '99 black convertible Mustang... while the 64½ Mustang stays safe in the garage.

You guys are gonna love this one--2005 Town and Country Limited in Magnesium Pearl. Engineer Hubby gets a discount on Chrysler products, and what better to tow our two beautiful girls?

btw, other vehicles are 1999 GMC Yukon and 1999 Chevrolet Corvette

I got a 97 Ford escort wagon Smiling Gets me where I want to go, which is to see the boys! My main transportation is an old beat up mountain bike and canoe.

2001 chevy blazer...hoss on the trails*

1998 Toyota T100...she is my girlfriend...a little rough around the edges, but I love her...don't tell the wife.

1997 Nissan pickup and a 1998 Land Rover Discovery

I drive a 72 VW bus, and when I dont drive that I drive a 70 bus, and soon I'll be driving a '68 VW truck, and soon after that i'll be driving a '62 VW truck.

A mini-van....

1990 Jeep Wrangler (its my trail rig since it is not street legal)
1976 Mercury Comet
1992 Ford F-150
1996 honda Civic

all of which blare Avett brothers tunes except for the Civic because someone stole my C.D. player and with that they got a Limited Edition copy of Carolina Jubilee

1999 navy blue, crew cab, Ford F350!!! I *love* the sound of starting up that diesel truck, baby!! No one expects to see a little blonde chick driving such a big ole truck, but I don't think a cute little sportscar would pull my horse trailer too well. Smiling Needless to say, my favorite line in "If It's The Beaches" is, "while I go gas up the truck..."

Also drive a '96 white Eldorado Cadillac. That's right, I said it! My old lady car... Smiling Grandmother gave it to me when the '92 red Geo Metro convertible I bought for $800 when I was 14 finally just died. (It was probably starting to get a little unsafe when the convertible top refused to stay put and would fly down suddenly when I was driving down the road...in the wintertime...in the rain...).

Ole El is a great car, but Diesel is my MAN!!!! Smiling

2005 Mercedes ML500

The same thing happened to me. My old back-up car had Four Thieves Gone in the player when it was stolen. I was more upset about the cd! I knew I was junking the car soon anyway.

All I have is my 98 Honda Civic now.

2006 subaru outback named scoobydoo. I just got him this week and we have already bonded.

Youre gonna love that little car. I have personally owned 7 Subarus of various vintages and loved every one of them.

check out www.nasioc.com when you get a minute. Huge population of subaru owners, so if you have any issues or questions, you can get some help over there without paying the dealer 60.00 for their time.

Sad news to report; Melba Toast has been retired. Tranny gave out on me last week, and I just couldnt see putting a grand or more into her. So, I picked up a second hand Toyota Tundra on saturday. She has been repo'd, beat up and neglected. So I spent all day Saturday claening the interior, and all day Sunday addressing the brakes, or lack thereof. We are still getting to know each other, but she has a TAB sticker in the window already. Im calling her "Dirty Red"

2001 Chevy Sliverado Z71. Gotta get into the woods somehow!

1996 Dodge 1500 Ram....seen with my other mode of transportation my kayak

2003 Honda Civic. Bought it brand new my senior year in high school and will be payed of this May!! Excited out of my mind not to have a car payment!

My honder has been in 4 accidents, none of which I was involved in. It is pushing 100,000 proud miles. Runs great but I've lost a few functions such as driver side door lock, gas popper opener, and trunk shutting... and my "H" is missing.

I do love the gal and she's handled the mountains rather well. My back seat serves as a cd organizer and trunk as a suit case. I have a feeling she'll be my lil clunker some day.Sticking out tongue

Did anyone else happen to put the sticker that came with the Emotionalism cd's on their car? I ask this here, because that's exactly what I did, and I want to warn others from doing this. Let's just say that that sticker is not as resistant to the rain as my other Avett stickers. The Emotionalism bird on my sticker is looking a little beat up, and I'm not sure how much longer it's gonna' make it. I'm gonna' fall apart when I have to get a new car and lose all my Avett stickers.

95 Jeep Wrangler

Use a hair dryer on a hot sunny day, and you can very carefully remove your stickers. I have a sticker on my car that has been on four other cars since 2001.

I'm currently driving a very colorful Beach Cruiser (that's a bike, folks).
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a99/angischy/AngiBeachCruiser.jpg

I sold my car a few months ago because I just don't need it anymore, as I'm headed off to the Navy really soon.

I do have a 1965 Ford Mustang garaged up North, though, just not driving it right now
(200, inline 6, not restored . . . yet). My brother and I are scheming about how to convert it to run on alternative fuel, someday.

Sweet! I'll be doing that in about 100 years when I can afford a new car.

I'm also running around in 2006 Subaru. Tis a Forester though and I love it.

Sometimes I can be seen in 95 Camaro for old times sake, and I have 1970 Nova waiting to get fixed up so I can assist with the depletion of the oil supplies as well.

1997 honda CRV, 280000 miles on in, (all mine)...only car i've ever owned, proudly displaying the bumper stickers to the right (though i've added some since that picture was taken)

Who in Greenville, NC owns a little dark green car with a Mignonette sticker on the back window? I don't know cars worth a crap, but I'd guess it's an early 90's model and it's called a Sport, but I don't know the maker. I was walking to class today, and I saw this car at a stop sign, and when I noticed the sticker I had to resist the urge to knock on this person's window to talk about TAB. What a freakish thing to do.

My other vehicle is a 98 Civic EX

I drive a '92 toyota truck! extended cab. Names Elliot. It gets me around and holds my dog in the back. The only problem I have with it is that it's 2 wheel drive... but hey, who can complain.

We also own two '68 saab 96's which are currently in repair

Well, I'm really digging here, but this was a fun thread, and I am car shopping...so here goes.

Is anyone in the NC/SC or Georgia area selling a somewhat affordable (under $6k) used car?
I need wheels. I figured I might as well try here.

Also, speaking of cars, who had the little white hatchback with the Team Avett sticker on the back window in Asheville?

CoffeeBomb, sorry I can't help with your car search, but I'm glad you started this thread back.

I drive a silver 2003 Honda Civic with Avett Brother stickers in the back window, and I love it. It's the first car I've ever owned that wasn't at least 15 years old.

My coolest car, though, was a light blue1966 Ford Galaxie 500 that I drove for nine years. I smile whenever I see pictures of Seth's Galaxie.

2011 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid Edition. Nothing to big.

Go Vols!

Angi, you should have said something. I have a 2002 Chrysler Sebring convertible with about 85,000 miles on it that I'm getting rid of for 4700. 4 disc changer included!
