Awesome! Nice that they keep getting soundtrack love, and this one has some great artists on it.

I've been meaning to check this show out since it's set in Berkeley, but I've only seen the first episode where they played KDH. Does anyone on here watch?

I caught a couple of episodes but then lost track of the day and time it aired. It was a good show. Season 2 starts soon...

Great soundtracks. Excellent actors. I find the writing unreal and boring.

I've watched every episode, and I absolutely love it.

I wouldn't call the characters terribly realistic overall (every single episode seems to end with this entire extended family sharing a meal) but I do think that some of the plot lines are pretty on point, the acting is great, and I love every single character -- and besides...if I wanted to deal with realistic things, I'd turn off the TV and live life. Boo to that, obviously.

"Extended family sharing a meal"? That is one reason I watch the show. It reminds me of my family. And all of the good and bad that ensues.
Ah, nostalgia.
The music, in general, though, is good.
And I miss The Gilmore Girls.

***Sorry for the double post, but capchas here are really silly. I cannot believe I got through on the first try. It was almost incomprehensible. And many of them are.
I admit, though, that I love the challenge. So, keep it up, powers-that-be.

I just don't think it's terribly realistic that this family - which includes a music producer, a supposedly high-powered and incredibly busy attorney (who still manages to have time to drop her kid off at school and take long lunches with her at the playground?), an executive at a shoe company and 3 high school students, not to mention 2 batty retired folks, an Asperger's kid and several other kids and adults - is able to manage their schedule in order to ALL come together for dinner a couple nights a week. I mean, I love the sentiment. But it's not realistic. But like I said, booooo on real life.

It's not just the circumstances that I find unrealistic. It's the conversations and responses to experiences that drive me away. I can enjoy Lord of the Rings because the characters seem realistic and consistent in the most unrealistic of circumstances.

yay Lord of the Rings! haha such an amazing series. I have a friend that works on the post production for this show, if I had know how awesome the sound track was I probably would have watched more than the KDH episode.
