Kwon's Voice

Kwon's Voice

As I watched the show in Columbus this past Saturday it struck me. What the heck does Joe Kwon's singing voice sound like? He's always letting it rip without a microphone to nearly every song. Has anybody heard him before? I've never gave the New Jersey Transient stuff a listen. Does he sing on that album? I had the chance to meet him after the show. He's seems like an extremely nice guy that goes out of his way to meet the fans.

I was hoping for something falsetto, but hey you never know.

He only speaks via Tweets. And haiku.

Look...I promised him I wouldn't let anyone hear this...but I think you guys should hear his voice. He worked on this for about a month...

Ohio...the Heart of it All

^^^^^^^ hahahahaha is that him in the upper lefthand corner? that's the voice I imagined coming from a sweet angel.

Hahahaha. I may never know the true answer to this question, but he sure looks like he's tearing it down. I can only hope it sounds like Boston.

Footstompin'--I once asked Joe why we never heard him sing and he told me it was because he couldn't sing! I said something along the lines of "But you sing on stage with so much soul!" and I think his response was "I'll just stick to playin' the cello".

Hahahaha. He does have serious cello skills. To quote Janis Joplin, "You've only gotta do one thing well to make it in this world babe."

on a similar note, what's the deal with joe not being "in" the band? it seems as though he's left out of a lot of press materials and photos. hasn't he been with the band for more than a few years?

Funniest thing I have read all day!

I think his singing voice quite possibly resembles this...

To those who posted the videos: All I can say is OH WOW!!!!!!! And may God have mercy on your souls!!!!!! (LOL)

I agree with Soulonfire

He should be in the band. Although the trio could make it without him, I believe Kwon gives the band a whole new sound and honestly, I can't imagine attending a concert and Joe not be up there rockin with the jet black hair and cello. He should be in the band and stay there. Just my opinion.

I didn't mean for my video to offend if it did so. I just can't picture him having an excellent singing voice and I'm sure that's why he chooses to stick to just the cello. I do agree he should be included in more photos and added as an official member. Joe plays beautifully!
