Mumford and Sons

Mumford and Sons

Been enjoying the heck out of the videos and tunes on this band's myspace page tonight.

A friend sent me their way, but I think I've seen their name mentioned here in one of the "what else are you listening to" threads. Went back a couple of pages but couldn't find it.

Also pretty sure I heard their song "The Cave" on the radio or mix cd between sets over the NYE shows. If anyone listens to it that was there, do you remember?

I hear a little bit of TAB, the Low Anthem, the Decemberists, Patrick Wolf, and Glen Hansard (ala the Frames and movie Once, fame,) all in there. I really like what I've heard so far.

Looks like their full debut album isn't available over here yet. If any Team Avett folk are headed to the UK for the euro-tour, I'd owe you big time favors if it still wasn't out here and you wanted to pick me up a copy. Smiling

anywho, think they're worth checking out:

so good. i really hope they release the album over here soon.

I have been watching for this album to come out over here for awhile now. Amazon lists a release date of February 16- just three more weeks!

Thanks for the heads up on these guys! With a description like "a little bit of TAB, the Low Anthem, the Decemberists, Patrick Wolf, and Glen Hansard (ala the Frames and movie Once, fame,) all in there" I had to check them out, and I'm really glad I did.

In addition to releasing their album in the U.S. on the 16th, it looks like they'll be playing Letterman on the 17th and Craig Ferguson on some date TBA. (http://www.live4ever.uk.com/2010/01/mumford-sons-announce-us-album-relea...)

decide what to be and go be it.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to them coming back to the states soon and hopefully playing chicago!

LOVE "The Banjolin Song."

My dad (who lives in Scotland) told me to check them out - I really like them...I only listened to them because he bought the entire Avett discography after I told him to check them out Smiling
