Nothing's good because nothing lasts. And all that comes, it comes here to pass.
I would voice my pain, but the change wouldn't last.
All that comes, it comes here to pass.
That's a fantastic set.
That's from memory? W-o-w.
I don't remember the show specifics an hour after I leave. There is something seriously wrong with me.

So if ever someone says to you "Life isn't fair, get used to it"
Then you should say "Well It might be if folks like you would let it be."
thats an amazing set

"a woman's heart runs on gasoline"
can't believe they played Hand me down Tune and a certain board lurker didn't call me.
just kidding. but looks like a great set. I can't WAIT for this coming week.
Both nights were great! I enjoyed the setlist more on Friday, but we all have our favorites. Saturday seemed like they oversold the tickets and it was more of a sing along. BUT both nights were GREAT!
I can't believe the "!!!"s were around Last Song to Jenny and not PGF Matthews. I don't think I've seen that one on a setlist since I've been posting here.
A lot of great ones on there. Last Song to Jenny and At the Beach are two that I've been wanting to here every time I've seen them and haven't been lucky enough yet.
Pretty amazing set list.

Rejoice always, Mark
The show was great! Cant believe we got Pretty Girl from Matthews and My last Song to Jenny. The guys were great...came out dancing around more than I have ever seen!
The crowd was not the best...anyone want to comment on the crazy girl that jumped on stage?? I thought Dane was going to tackle her!!

I’m scared by the way that my life is getting gone
Damn, that was a better setlist than Friday by far. Wish I could have gone both nights.
PGF Matthews! Great setlist

Black, Blue was by far my favorite from the two nights, but in general I was pleased with both setlists. Not my favorite venue and the crowd was a bit difficult, but it was a good time! Can't wait for Charlotte!

And I spent the last one just hidden away
Screaming my lungs out with nothing to say.
Un-freakin-real setlist. Still blown away by last nights show.

Wow, great set list!
Guess they forgot they didn't play Paranoia until the very end!

There was a dream, and one day I could see it, like a bird in a cage I broke in and demanded that somebody free it.
Blasto, they played PGF Matthews in San Francisco in May. Hope I get that one at a show sometime!!

I wanna have friends that I can trust,
That love me for the man I’ve become, not the man that I was.
I was there both nights, and I swear on saturday night they did a long drawn out version of "I Killed Sally's lover". It was all instrumental though. They jammed on it too. I don't remember where they played it in accordance with the setlist, but I'm about 99% sure they did. Please correct me if I am wrong or I was dreaming.

we collect and put away lots of fragments, because we keep recording devices and notebooks with us at all times and when the song calls, when the song comes, we are prepared to accept it
Clemcord, I believe the instrumental you're thinking of was Old Joe Clark.

tarynhayduke: you have forced me to come out of hiding. i'm so sorry! i was juggling requests galore...
chilixx: you did (kinda) get matthews! even joe was saying after the show that we were so lucky to get it. maybe they'll play it more!
both shows were wonderful! so thankful to have been there and to have met so many amazing people!
And, by the way, Hand me Down Tune was beautiful. As Battier1 said, so was Black, Blue. Both shows were just amazing, too many highlights to narrow it down...
yeah, taryn...i'm sorry you didn't get hand-me-down, but sunnysideup was doing some major heroic double-fisted phone call action. but no worries, we're totally gonna get it in buffalo.
Sunnysideup--I did get to hear Matthews, you're right! thank you!!
and you def. went above and beyond, esp. on Saturday. thanks to Battier1 for sacrificing her phone for the cause, as well. And, who knows, maybe we'll get it at Dewey, too. Taryn, buy that ticket!!

chilixx: i do love you for the man you've become, not the man that you were.
taryn: buy your ticket! cookies await! i'll make up my failing to you; i'm not saying anything, but that it may involve quinoa
m: i'm hardly the heroic one. you're the one who knows all the lyrics to bryan adams' songs. now that is a feat.
battier1: thanks for donating your phone to the cause! you made some Avett fans in far flung places (like New England) very happy!
S--I knew there was a reason we were friends.
Taryn--and I'm bringing brownies--no quinoa, though, sorry.

Wow, now I'm even more thankful for my calls
You rock S!
Quinoa brownies maybe??
Bec, glad you've arrived! If I make quinoa brownies, will you and G come to DB? Or, how about this, if I do NOT make them will you come?
Anyone who was at the video shoot: Was Hand Me Down tune like they played it there with just Scott and Joe??
Oh, the draw of DB grows even stronger-
My parents are up in the air about their plans and its all up to them if we can come or not. So tense!!
Hahaha Sophie you are the funniest. I was happy for my song.
Still thinking about Dewey... and Newport... Quinoa?! You guys are fancy. I'll bring a fresh cucumber. That's all I got.
Thanks for the call Sophie, even if I couldnt tell what song it was.
Taryn you're still considering Newport?!! Oh that would be great!! Pick up Andre on your way.....
japhy1: It was the same way they played it at the video shoot
The instrumental song was indeed Old Joe Clark. They all sat down and watched Bob's solo, it was pretty funny
I wish there was a video of Bob doing his thing with all the others sitting and watching. Joe was funny on the floor! Just one of the highlights of the night.

Becky-- I'm considering Dewey over Newport. I'll go to Dewey if you do...
i was happy to sacrifice my phone for such a worthy cause. thanks to everyone for making the board's #1 lerker contribute for a change.

Taryn, I so hope we both make it!! (Are you going to Dewey because its on the way to Charlotte?
)
I went Friday and Saturday and was blown away by the Saturday show! What a well worth it trip! I was able to meet some awesome people and hang with friends. Can't wait till the homecoming show in Charlotte 8-8. I hope that it exceeds all my expectations!
Great time Saturday night. Does anyone recall at what point Hand Me Down Tune was in the list?
Bec,
Quinoa brownies!??!
Is this code? Of course not.
My poor nephews, I'm taking them out for a huge ice cream sundae when I get there.

sorry for leaving it out. from my pics/videos i think it was after old joe clark.

Cool. That's about where I had it in my memory. Thanks for posting the set list. I've used it to make a playlist on the ol' iPod.
PG....I glad someone finally mentioned Bobby C's AMAZING solo in OJC! That was awesoooome. He's really under-rated, I think, and it was great to see him recieve such a powerful response from the crowd! He knew that he ripped that solo. I was having a fit. It was really funny how the band just sat down and let him do his thing. Good times, good times. See yall in Charlotte and Charleston!
