This is going to be me and my wifes first Avett show. We are both really excited..Looking for any advice on maybe where to stay. We were thinking about the Opryland hotel. Plus any news on a post show party. Would like to take over a bar in Nashville and flood it with the Avett Nation.

im driving up from Memphis early on the 28th.. this will be my 6th show... THIS YEAR!
I'm staying in a cheap motel.. so I can spend more on merch 
Post any info on before/after partys... Im sooo there!
This will be our second show, and we are soooo stoked! We would love to meet up if there is an avett spot!
Our first show was front row in memphis, and we are hooked!
This will be my 4th show this year and the first time I don't have to travel 3 - 6 hours. Woo hoo! Although I live in nashville I never go downtown so I don't know where a good spot is but id love to meet up with as many of you as I can.
@ fishhead Opryland is nice but it is a little far from downtown. There is a Hilton plus many hotels downtown that are closer if that is an issue.
I am waiting til probably the first of October to book a room somewhere, but we plan on leaving Memphis early and getting to Nashville around mid-afternoon. I hope the weather is great, because I think an Avett tailgate is in order.... I love hanging out with all the other fans before the show! Hope to see everyone there!!

I'm taking the day off of work and getting there early to try and get up front in the GA pit. It will be me and a buddy of mine as my wife doesnt enjoy GA seating. We will probably hang out at Rippeys off and on.
I'm thinking of coming to this show from Durham, NC. I'll be solo so would love to meet up with folks!

@fishhead Yes, the Opryland hotel is a bit away from downtown. I'd try the Hilton, as it's literally right beside the arena, or the Sheraton if you want walking distance. There are a few nice hotels in the Vandy area, just a few mintues from downtown.
I'm in Nashville, and I'd warn everyone that a lot of the honky tonks are very small/crowded, so maybe not the best place for a large group meet-up. McFadden's and Wildhorse on 2nd Ave have more room. The Hilton has a good sports grille w/ a covered patio (awesome nachos!), and the Big River Grille is decent as well. Plenty of places within walking distance if you're camping out for GA spots.

Union Station is a really neat hotel and right down from the venue. Havent been to Nashville in quite a while, but there are quite a few hotels downtown. Would be great to take one over
I just booked a hotel over the weekend... it's the Best Western in Downtown Nashville.. it was a little more expensive, but im doing super cheap in Carbondale and Starkville... The Best Western is within walking distance of the arena, and I plan on checking in as soon as they will allow me to... So excited that these road trips are coming up!! Anyone else use all their vacation time from work traveling to see the Avetts? I work in a super stuffy bank setting and all my coworkers think I am insane... but thats ok.. I am a little Avett crazy

I work in accounting (talk about stuffy!). The first few shows I took off for I didn't tell anyone I was traveling to see a band. I live near Nashville and have gone to NC, AL, CO and GA to see them this year. Now everyone knows my obsession and I'm ok with that. It's fun. I get alot of teasing too but I just love them! And sadly my vacation time and Avett budget is spent for the year after the Nashville show. I hope to meet you there!

Fortunently, I have three shows left this year! But its been since May that I saw them.. so, I'm feeling some major w/d's haha... My boyfriend and I are coming... and will be in Nashville early... We have reserved seats, so we wont have to stand in line.. is there a private msg thing on here? I want to give you email or facebook.. but I don't know about just putting it out there ya know??

Gettin' so excited to see the boys on Friday!!! Haven't seen them since the Hangout Fest. in May. Lot's of bars to choose from near Bridgestone to takeover for pre/post parties.
I have an extra ticket now because my friends backed out - floor 3 row 9 seat 11... any one interested????

We talked to Joe after the show in IL last night and asked him if they were dressing up.... and he said that they weren't.. and that there was a reason behind why... and then he said nevermind.. its a surprise.. hahaha. Then when i talked to Scott and Seth I was so taken by how incredible they are.. I forgot to ask them..... So, I don't know if they will or not, but either way...it will be fun!
My husband and I driving in from Evansville for our 3rd Avett Brothers concert this year. We are sooo excited for our weekend in Nashville, but mostly to see their awesome performance. We are all things Avett at our house. We are staying within walking distance of the arena, so hoping to meet up with other fans afterwards. Anyone decided on anything?

I'll be driving up tomorrow morning from Birmingham. I've been looking forward to this since they announced they were playing in Nashville. Where is everyone going before/after? I'd love to party with other Avett fans...
Theres a Flying Saucer about 5 blocks from Bridgestone, if its anything like the one in Raleigh, it would be a good place to meet. Lots of good beers! Its attached to the Union Sation hotel I believe.
