New Tour Dates

New Tour Dates

Wtf?? Post them so I can work out plans before I buy tickets. I don't mind only getting a day notice, but a few hours is just too short to negotiate how many shows I want to attend. Let's assume that I actually had to work some during work.

Replies for this Board Topic

I too wish they'd give a little more notice between date announcements and the presale.

this is the deal with the pre-sale, unfortunately.... but it insures that people ( like brokers, etc) aren't able to snag all of the tix away from us.... while i wish we had more time for these types of pre-sales - its just not possible.... i just hope there are more than 100 tix for presale... but we'll see

--
Well Locust, Mount Pleasant, Concord.... LETS GOOO!

I thought there was only a few hours too, but Gunnar pointed out to me that they are actually listing the dates tomorrow. Phew!

besides, pre-sale tix aren't always the best seats, and the process is too much of a headache for me.

i'm already having flashbacks of the last pre-sale disaster. ugh. i wonder if it will be some of the overseas dates?

Burn the questions. Burn the shame.

I'm sooo hoping for somewhere like Ireland! I'd have even more of a reason to fill that piggy bank up:)

The Low Anthem will be opening for the Avetts on some dates during the Spring Tour

--
Do the best you can and that wont go unseen

The low anthem that is awesome I love them.

I hope they're playing an NYC date or two!

--
careful not to say that i don't care, or haven't, or can't, or will not again.

arnt they playing in santa barbra?

ive heard a santa barbra date been thrown around

Tickets have been on sale for the Santa Barbara show on Ticketmaster since August.

I don't remember seeing the tomorrow morning when I started this thread. My apologies if I was incorrect.

"while i wish we had more time for these types of pre-sales - its just not possible."

Well, I don't agree with that and fail to even understand the reasoning but I doubt it even matters to us east coasters. I'm pretty sure the next batch of dates are mostly west coast.

4/28 - Arlington Theater SB, CA
4/29 - HOB San Diego

sweet. and where have they been on sale? directly from Arlington Theater? Ticketmaster isn't doing it anymore or something.

Here's a link to SB tickets: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/090042EDFDB99206?artistid=1085052&majo...

Hoping for some SF shows!

West coast dates would be good so I can continue to save money for nye.

I hate to be a hater but I am not a big fan of HOB SD.

do not forget stagecoach on the 25th

yeah, i'm not sure if i want to do another HOB either, even if it is san diego. i wonder if they'll hit up sf since they have to be back for merlefest 5/2.

Burn the questions. Burn the shame.

Looks like there'll be a 5 month gap between shows for me. Bummer.

Should we assume they won't play any shows between the Michigan Theatre and the West Coast or should we expect those slots to fill in as well?? Come back to Louisville!!

--
"But I loved them cause they were stepping stones . . .
. . On a staircase to you"

Yeah, I want to get excited about new tour dates, but with the Merlefest announcement, I know that they won't be in NC but that one time through June. So congrats to everyone else!

But, if I could ever get comfortably on the plus side of my bank account, I would totally travel a good distance to get my fix. One day...

That appears to be the case....Boooo....well not if your out west Eye-wink

***"Should we assume they won't play any shows between the Michigan Theatre and the West Coast or should we expect those slots to fill in as well??"

NO..they'll be in Australia during that time period, well maybe not the whole time period, LUCKY them Laughing out loud! Maybe there will be a Spring Tour Dates part 3 ....we in the southeast can only hope!

no one is really a house of blues fan. but it's the avett brothers. though it does start at like 27. 00 or something ridiculous like that. This one might sell pretty fast.

Living smack dab in the middle (sort of) of santa barbra and san diego, im not sure which one to choose. Arlington theatre is a little pricey. But not too much more pricey than the house of blues. i hate to say it but these dates are almost not worth it.

This is the only functioning band i would even contemplate paying this much for. capitalism is killing music.

Megan...take some days off in February. Come to Ohio & go with us Buckeyes to Athens & Cleveland...problem solved!

^^^....and in between those two shows, take a quick jaunt over to NY and go to Ithaca with us! Smiling

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different, we love to talk on things we don't know about.

by the time you tag on eating at HOB to "pass the line" it's not that cheap. I may do Oakland.

Okay...I'll start a Megan Wants To Go Up North fund. Donation minimums start with hugs and good vibes!

"Free is not your right to choose, it's answering what's asked of you, to give the love you find until it's gone."

Megan... Can we make it a joint effort? I'll drive and will swing through Greensboro to pick you up. Between your baking and Heidi's cooking we should be well fed Smiling

I have to say I am glad to see the dates are West Coast...I wouldn't be able to afford a ticket now and missing a nearby show would kill me.

Cuz believe me...Ohio & NY in February is something you don't wanna miss!

Boulder on 4/20? Who's bright idea was that one?

I'd probably have to make an extended stay of it...be snowed in.

And SouthernFlavor, I'm sure we'd be eatin' good on that trip!

Hollyster - I live in Ohio and believe me, you definitely WANT TO MISS February in Ohio. It's typically miserably cold. BLAH!!

Lostsnapse - That's a great day to celebrate on so many levels!! Wish I lived in Boulder for "medical" reasons. LOL!! Eye-wink

Well I'm really excited for the 2 night run in Boulder. A few of us made the trip from Oregon to see TAB there in August this year and the Boulder Theater is a fantastic venue!

It may be cold in Feb, but we'd have the Avett love to keep us warm!

God, that was cheesy even for me.

But yes, you would eat well if I was around, that's for dang sure. Smiling

Yes Darling_Bill...I was being sarcastic. And Sardinia/YS winters can't even compare to Cleveland winters! Megan, you don't know how right you are about being snowed in...the snow is measured in feet not inches. But Heids is right...cheesy but right! Smiling BTW, I love to cook also.

Be Kind, For everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.

Megan, sending good vibes for sure! I've got some floor space in Ithaca with your name on it.

And I also quietly laughed to myself to see that they would be in Boulder on 4/20.

I'll see y'all in Boulder! I think I've officially taken my Avett addiction to a whole new level.

good for you, girl. Don't hold back!

I love Boulder. There's lots of great food there. If I had money and wasn't in school I'd be attending those shows for sure.

Ps: ME--does that "whole new level" include Ithaca?
