me, both nights! NYC sold out for Sat presale already.
Team avett members 45(me) 46(my girlfriend) and 47(a pal).
Anyone that lives in the city willing to hold us up friday night and maybe saturday?
I'll be there both nights w/ the BF. I am already so excited for these shows - I am giving the tickets to my boyfriend as an anniversary present b/c we met at the Fillmore a year ago on Sunday. How perfect that the presale was this week!!
As for helping out with folks coming into the city, we might be able to accomodate. I don't want to make any promises at this point, because I want to talk to a couple of other folks who might be coming in for the show, and of course, I have to take it up with the boyfriend...but I'm sure we can figure something out for you and yours to lay your head.
If all goes to plan I will be there both nights. I have tickets for Fri but the presale sold out for Sat 2oo soon. Hoping it won't be an issue to purchase them as soon as they go on sale again.
I've seen the brothers 9ish times, but never in NY. Oh June, why so far away?
Amen to that...of course, in the meantime, I have Samantha Crain at the Bowery, Flight of the Conchords at Radio City Music Hall, Langhorne Slim in Brooklyn and the Avetts in Philly (with Paleface!!), so those *should* help to tide me over. But honestly, I think seeing the boys in my town, two nights in a row, at a really special venue has me more excited than anything in a long, long time. I am so amped.
trying really hard... thats my birthday weekend which would be cool.. flights from Charlotte are 158 and I'm currently checking availability at the Appalachian Loft downtown... or staying w/ buddy.... i've wanted to see Avetts in NY for a very long time now...
just bought 6/12 tix to be careful... man i hope this comes through

Hope it works out, man. I'm making the haul up from Georgia. Always wanted to catch the brothers in NY. And 2 nights back to back...what else could you ask for on your birthday?
Boro - as if i needed any more encouragement?? haha.... this tour is breaking out some huge things for me and what i've wanted to see in music - i've always dreamed ( and I mean that, b/c i never thought they would do it) that Widespread Panic and Avett Brothers would play together and they are this tour in AL , which i'm heading to and now Avetts are finally back in NYC, which i've wanted to see for years, as well...... i'm probably be making the trek from Southern-USA with ya - but yeah, not many better ways to spend my birthday....

This may be a stupid question....but is this venue called the Fillmore at Irving Plaza, between e 15th and e 16th near grammercy park?
Yep, Jerry, that's the full name of the venue and it appears to indeed be between 15th and 16th and between Park and 3rd on Irving--about 4-5 blocks from Gramercy Park itself. A block from Union Square.
Ordered my tickets for both nights (thank you OzarkBilly!). Looking forward to my first show of '09 and to seeing/meeting a lot of you fellow message boarders!
