Pretty Girl at the Airport was so good in NYC,
but I have to go with Baltimore.
I went to both shows--they were very different, but great in so many different ways.
NYC felt really special--all the guests, the iconic venue, the big moment for the band, a few really special songs--PG@Airport, Swept Away, The Way it Is, plus, on a personal level, getting together with a huge group of my NE crew before and after was amazing.
Baltimore's energy and setlist (at least compared to the Avett-only part of NYC) was better, in my opinion. Plus the band seemed way more relaxed.
Now Boston---no comparison--that show was my favorite so far this month (out of 5) and in my top 10 of all time.
I thought the Baltimore show had a better set list but the NYC show they had more energy it did feel special. Got a poster @ both shows on the way out of the NYC show someone offered me $50 for the poster.
NYC was my favorite. They were both great shows, but I got three songs I had been wanting to hear at Radio City; Swept Away, Airport, and Living of Love, and the added bonus of Nicole, Paleface and Langhorne just took it over the top. Also, I had a friend with me who had never seen or listened to them, and it was almost like seeing them through brand new eyes.
For just the sense to try. To walk ahead and leave the pain behind
