Thats right folks - this is your one-stop to let everybody know if and where you'll be for any / all of the Avetts shows...
Me? Well I'll be in Asheville early in the AM on that Thursday morning and will be knocking around downtown Ashe-vegas all day and will be ready for quite the celebration that night... I'll be staying at the Sheraton - so let me know if you'll be in the vacinity....
THEN - I'll be waking up early for a mimosa / bloody mary at Tupelo Honey - only to hit the road immediately to head to ATL for, what is certain to be a historic night at the Fabulous Fox Theatre - thats right, with the help of Ms. Lovewritesaletter - myself and Fiance got some great tickets ( again - many thanks)... I'll be staying right across the street at the Georgian Terrace, so holler if you'll be around those parts....
Really gearing up to close down 2009 and open up 2010 with some amazing music and some amazing people.... Looking forward to it!

Myself and two other wicked red heads will be in ATL..staying at the Georgian Terrace too! NYE will be spent at home with 60 plus friends ringin it in! And I got some of those lanterns to send any bad stuff from the last year into the universe! Hope I got enough!

Asheville and Atlanta for me. Anybody else staying in the Atlanta Hostel (or know anything about it)? Midtown Atlanta and Hostel don't really sound like they should go together, but that may be where I end up staying Friday night as its a little closer to my price range.

Will be in Asheville and ATL...decided to leave the 3 year old in NY with family until after New Year's. Yikes! First time away from her for 6 whole days! Guess I will have to have a few yummy local Asheville microbrews to wash away my worries about her.
I'll be hittin' all three with the KY contingent. It's sure to be a good time.

Driving up from Miami for the Asheville show. My daughter wants to stay at a Bed & Breakfast ,a la Gilmore Girls, while we are there, but I think I would much rather spend the money on Atlanta Tickets. What do ya think?

I'll be in Asheville and Atlanta...Drew's plan seems very similar to mine. I live in Atlanta so prior to the show I'll be at my new place (about a mile from the Fox) doing a little pre-concert shindig...any interest? I just got a bumping surround sound system at the boys sure do make them speakers sound sweet.

nah - you won't be alone... but just FYI - bring an extra sleeping bag..... i've heard they've cleaned their act up, but that was one of the worst hotels i've ever stayed in.... bring a sleeping bag, just in case the sheets are too nasty to get in

My girlfriend and I will be coming to Knoxville from Asheville for the show on the 30th!
I have tickets to the Knoxville show and the Atlanta show.
But now because of the last minute purchase of plane tickets for some family members from out West..I'm going to be down in Georgia the 26-? and my family is trying to convince me to sell my knoxville tickets and stay down there with them.
I am trying to convince them to come with me! I don't want to miss this show, but my family is upset that I'm choosing a band over them. Even though I bought these tickets months ago. And I would only be missing 24 hours of time with them. Oh, and I was able to get an extra 2 days off work.
So, Atlanta definitely.
Knoxville is iffy, only because I have to find a way from north of Atl to Chattanooga, and then to Knoxville. And then back to Chattanooga before heading back to Atl for New Years Eve. Yikes.

Linda I was hoping to meet you as well, and I am determined to get to this show!
I have a gracious, tentative offer for a ride from Chatt--Knox. Of course, family obligations popped up after the fact, so that brought a whole new aspect to this puzzle. Instead of being in TN the day of the 30th, I'm going to be an hour and a half south in GA. Trying to work it around spending time with family is making it difficult. However, even though I won't be "home" I live so close to Knoxville that not seeing The Avetts there is something I know I will regret.
I'm optimistic and I think I will be able to spend time with the family (split into two "sessions") and go to two Avett shows and not shortchange anyone.
So...anyone from the Atlanta/Ga area headed north on I-75 the afternoon of the 30th that would be willing to run me north? I have a ride back after the show (as of now...), getting there is the problem. I can pitch in for gas! I also have FOUR extra tickets if anyone is in need or knows someone who is.

I hear it was pretty sleazy when it was the Days Inn, too, but I was just at this hotel this past weekend (The Downtown Inn and Suites, right?), and I can tell you, it's definitely not bad for the cost, and the fact that it's right downtown.

i'll be in Ashville, staying at the Best Western... with the snow/ chance of snow, i chickened out of driving back on thursday night...

Coming up to Asheville on the 30th so I can chill in that cool town. Due to Holiday procrastination,I didn't find rooms soon enough, so I am stuck at the Days Inn too. Hope its not that bad. If it is I will find another place to crash after the show. Maybe I will splurge on a nice B&B since it will be New Years Day 2010. So Excited to ring it in with the Avetts.
I'll be there on the 30th too.. Not looking forward to the nine hour drive.
