Ommegang Brewery Show, September 27

I know the show is two months away but I am pumped. It is going to be my second time see them and I can't wait. Anyone else going?

It just gets better...DSP has added Brandi Carlile with Nicole Atkins opening. What a show!!!

Wow, this does keep getting better! I'm definitely seeing them in MA and NH on the 24th and 25th and had been thinking about heading to NY for the Cooperstown show as well, but can't find anyone who wants to do the drive on a Tuesday (and take 1.5 days off from work). But this just may put me over the edge enough to do it alone! Or even better, if anyone is interested in carpooling from the Boston area (or anywhere along the way), let me know.... I'm not crazy, I promise!

I am so excited! Do you guys know how the camping works? Also, I wondered what time you need to get there to get up in front - I hope this is a fairly small crowd and that it's possible to have a good view. I'm bringing along friends who I hope will fall in love with them as I did when I saw them live.

Hey, couldn't get the wife or friends to bale on a day or two of work so heading out solo...Avetts were awesome at Mountain Jam and I have to do it again! This brewery will be the most incredible venue on their tour! Any others doing a lone trip? jr

Whose camping out? Not really sure how it works, does anyone have any insight?

If you got your tix via online presale, you should receive an email from the promoter with details about camping -- at least, that's what was promised in an earlier email.

Once it comes out, someone will copy it to this thread to share with everyone.

According to the Ommegang website:

"Gates open at 5 pm, with local food vendors including Skinnies Concessions, Farm to Hearth Flatbread, and Andres Blue Ribbon BBQ open along with beer sales selling both Ommegang and Duvel USA beers. Make sure to put on your dancing shoes and join us for a fun-filled evening and extraordinary concert. This is a rain or shine event.

...Camping will be available at the Avett Brothers show. We are only allowing tents on the brewery grounds. You can bring a cooler on the campgrounds but not in the concert zone. It costs $10 at the gate. There will be portajons available.

No outside alcohol allowed."

Elsewhere on the site, it says Nicole Atkins starts at 7, Brandi Carlile at 8, TAB at 9:30.

camping...drinking...watching three great bands! Does it get any better than this?
