Anyone know the name of the song/artist from the closing song on the show Parenthood last night (March 23rd)?

This show is excellent. I was so stoked to start watching it - and when I tuned into the pilot and heard Kick Drum Heart open the show... I nearly died of joy!

Four episodes in and I can already tell this show has longevity. There are so many whole characters to explore, so many places it can go. I dig it because it's the kind of show that won't get too caught up in the melodrama, love triangles, cheating etc. It's looking at parenthood as a coming of age experience. The trials and tribulations don't necessarily have to be monumental to be effective and I think that's where most shows go wrong. They go too BIG too soon.

"Parenthood" is taking a lovely, paced approach. And as noted above... the music choices have been stellar...

Lo

I haven't really liked an NBC drama in awhile (except Law and Order- but that's a given, isn't it?) but I like this one so far. Avett music got me to watch the first one, and now I'm in. Lost, then Parenthood- a nice way to wind down my Tuesdays.

Love that the one child has Aspergers- I called that one in that character's first scene. Good for NBC to include a character like that!

i wasn't a big fan of the first episode, but the more i see the more i like. hopefully it won't get cancelled once i get attached.

Burn the questions. Burn the shame.

i think i missed an episode the 1st 1 i saw was the one where the lady tried to teach her daughter to swim, its got a great cast but i was'nt too impressed with it i will give it another episode or two before i decide if its something worth watching

Thanks Kate! I could not find the music posted the other night. I will be sure to check the website for future episodes.

It is a good show, and they have great music as well. I was just excited to see Lorelai again, and then heard Kick Drum on first episode!
