i think they missed a few...but i think that i and love and you is without a doubt top ten. i feel it should share a spot in the top ten rather than sufijan.
it's awesome to see them in the top ten, but I&L&U isn't even their best album. Emotionalism and Four Thieves Gone are both more deserving to be on this list. And Sufjan without a doubt belongs in the top 5, maybe not the number one spot, but no lower than Radiohead. Oh, and am I the only one who thinks Radiohead is and always has been overrated?

I went years having only bits and pieces of Ryan Adams stuff. A month or so ago decided to buy Heartbreaker after falling in love with In My Time Of Need, and re-falling in love with Oh My Sweet Carloina. Have to say its one of the best albums that I have ever heard. I'm glad to see it on this list but like you guys said it deffinitely needs to be higher...And Emotionalism deserves a spot as well. Glad to see my favorite Iron & Wine, Damien Rice, and Bright Eyes albums on here as well. Only other thing I could think of adding is The Agoraphobic Cowboy by Rick Moranis...purely for s***s and giggles.
What?! No Ray Lamontagne!? I am thoroughly shocked. "Trouble" and "Gossip in the Grain" are two of the most powerful, poignant and well-made albums I have ever heard. Props to Paiste for putting together a great list and once again proving to be a marvellous publication, but - Wow - the lack of Ray hurts my heart just a little.
Outkast...Really?!?! these numbers may be a bit scewed. And emotionalism should have been higher than I&L&U

But their good times come with prices
And I can't believe it when I hear the jokes they make
At anyone's expese except their own
Would they laugh if they knew who paid?
Vampire Weekend makes the lineup but not My Morning Jacket? There are several Ryan Adams albums that should be up there, and Fleet Foxes were a paste darling band, no credit for them?
Outkast brought fun back to hip hop. I think they are also responsible for the skater/hip hop/80's pop art look that is en vogue. Worthy of the list for sure.
Its a good list thought. I'm glad Sufjan, Over the Rhine, and Pedro the Lion got respect.
It baffles me why The Postal Service's "Give Up" is not on the list. I guess because its Paste, not Pitchfork. I also think Beck's "Sea Change" is underrated.

Great to see our boys in the Top 25!
hell yes.
and it's on the list of the readers picks of the top 10 albums of the decade!
but I'm not surprised! They've earned it.
I love the Bros, but there is no way that Ryan Adam's "Heartbreaker" is 23 and "I&L&U" is 9.

I agree. Heartbreaker is a better album than I&L&U. And Emotionalism is better than both of them.
And I love debating era-ending best-of lists!!
Have to agree. I'm putting Heartbreaker in the Top 5 without a doubt.

Like all lists - some great ones mentioned. Some even better ones not.

I much prefer Emotionalism...and seeing I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning put a smile on my face

the review of M.I.A.'s record was great.
"M.I.A. sang like a schoolgirl skipping through a hopscotch court while sniper fire rang out overhead—not oblivious to the danger, just defiant."

I do have to agree with Arcade Fire: Funeral. That album often gets overlooked...

Most definitely Outkast. It's a shame there are only two hip hop albums in the top 50. Paste seems to have found their niche and it's quite small.

I am glad TAB are on there...but I am surprised I&Love&You was the album picked...I would have picked emotionalism or mignonette.
Just my humble opinion...
