Red Rocks

Red Rocks

I'm not a fan of Gov't Mule at all but I really want to see TAB at Red Rocks. It's Labor Day weekend and I'm thinking of putting in the vacation request today. Smiling I hope they'll get a full set and not just be a small opener.

Me too!!!

On The Mule's site, it says TAB will play a full set (proceding Gov't Mule, but I assume the meant preceding).

I, however AM a GM fan, making this the more tempting. Never been to Red Rocks, and this may be the perfect show to pop my cherry with.

Well Locust, Mount Pleasant, Concord.... LETS GOOO!

Anyone have any ballpark idea on what ticket prices will be? It says it's gen. admission but I can't find any other info.

If the price is right, I might be able to swing this.

Road trip, fellow Carolina boys?

From the Govt. Mule website:
Ticket Availability: Pre-Sale 3.01 @ Noon Mtn Time

Ticket Price: $44.75 Res/$39.50 GA (Advance) | $50 Res/$40 GA (DOS)
Doors: 4:00pm
Truth & Salvage Co.: 5:15pm
The Avett Brothers: 6:30pm
Gov't Mule: 8:15pm

Does anyone know how to get presale tickets for this show. When I click on the link that says get tickets it has a place to sign up for presale tickets on GM's website. When I try to follow that link it doesn't work. I am thrilled to have an opportunity to see them. My entire family saw them in Athens, OH on Wednesday night. They said the show was incredible. It was so hard to not be there. I am planning on taking my two year old and 13 year old. I haven't been to Red Rocks before so I hope the venue will be ok for the baby.

I saw Wilco open for R.E.M. at Red Rocks in 2003. Truly an awesome combo. It would be great to see The Avett Brothers there, but I'm not thrilled about Government Mule, so I don't know if I would make the trip or not.

Simple sign up. You just need to enter your email and confirm it. Tickets don't go on sale until March 1.

(This post has been edited to hide the fact that I didn't read the Gov Mule ticket info very carefully.)

Rejoice always, Mark

Not to be a stickler, but it's Gov't Mule. That's the only way it's ever spelt.

Checked the time off calendar at work today and someone already beat me to the punch for the Labor Day weekend so Red Rocks is a no-go for me. Oh well, plenty of other tour stops!

I really don't know what to think of this. I've wanted to go to Red Rocks for years and have had many bands including the Avetts that have made me more than want to make the trip to CO from NC. My issue is that i absoluteky do not like Gov't mule or anything releted to
warren, besides Phil & Friends only because one of my fav bass players was involved. I'm not hating, just stating my opinion. I guess i could always justy enjoy the venue and wander the grouds after the avetts' set.But reguardless i would love to roll out there with Drew52 and rage the rocks. I know Denver has an amazing music scene so maybe i could just jet after the avetts set.?

has anyone heard of the "party bus" you can take from Denver to red rocks? I found something online about that one time when i was thinking about going to another show. Sounds like a lot of fun since red rocks is about 30 minutes outside the city... you meet at one spot in the city and hop on a bus with a bunch of people going to the show. I'll try to look for a link, just thought I'd ask

People don't quit playing because they grow old, people grow old because they quit playing.

i'm holding out to see what other shows they're playing out that way around the same time. i'd feel better about having to see a gov't mule show if i could throw in a few more avett shows along the way.

Burn the questions. Burn the shame.

My girlfriend talked me out of it. Just doesn't make sense finanicially. There will be plenty of dank shows in this time zone over the summer. All Good is stacked this year, may replace Red Rocks with that. Y'all that go, enjoy yoself. I'm sure it'll be a helluva party.

my gf just surprised me and said she bought us tickets to this show. Not a huge GM fan either but I don't know how many opportunities there will be to catch a non festival full TAB set at RED ROCKS. Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone are also only another 10 hrs all in the same direction. Anyone else decided yet?
