Scott as Levon Helm
Scott as Levon Helm

Just watched the first installment from the video series and was not aware that Levon, circa 1970, had joined the band. Seriously, in appearance, demeanor, and voice, Scott was channeling Levon from the Last Waltz.

Every time I see Scooter in a news boy cap playing the drums, I have to do a double take!! It's uncanny!!

UGH I'm at work and can't watch the video and I'm upset. The anticipation is killing me!
I have a feeling Scott doesn't smoke as much as Levon.

Good call, I love The Band and I love Levon, his new stuff is really quite excellent. Just got done reading "This Wheels on Fire"... Levon's telling of his days with the Band... really a good read, although it makes me watch The Last Waltz through an entirely different set of lenses.
Yeah, unfortunately, "This Wheels on Fire" tainted The Last Waltz (and Robbie Robertson) for me as well.
Levon Helms is one of my all time favorites. Getting to see him a couple years ago at Merefest was a once in a lifetime experience for me. The song on Electric Dirt, When I Go Away will be played when I go away
It's a great song- very inspirational. I even enjoyed his cameo in the movie The Shooter with Mark Walberg...
i saw shooter without knowing levon helm was in it.
the first scene he was in i almost pooped a little. the people i was with musta thought i was crazy.
"OMG, THATS LEVON HELM. FROM THE BAND!"
i think ill go put dirt farmer on the turntable now.
(ps....scott does remind me a bit of levon)
