setlist beats crappy croud
Marissa, how'd I do? Spelling, grammar?
Oh man, you guys got a great setlist!
Lowering, Skin and Bones, SSS, Down With the Shine, Ill With Want (!!!) - I'm dying of envy, especially for Lowering and ill With Want. Was Colorshow with piano again? I'm wondering if they're sticking with the new arrangement.
Hope y'all had a fantastic time! What was with the crowd, Ben?

I know a handful of east coasters who I expect are pretty pleased with Ill with Want right about now. Some really nice choices on here, and I fully expect Spokane to be even better.
Was the crowd that bad, though?

All that comes, it comes here to pass
I think Ben is reffering to the 5 gals in the front row.
Whoever the gal in the white dress in the balcony was... You Rock!!!
Awwww, so awesome that y'all got to break it down
Cedar Lane 2 nights in a row? That's unusual. Overall looks like a conscious-not-to-overlap too much setlist. A couple of unreleased songs, & Average Ppl is such a great song. And they only played Paranoia & Distraction once each between the 2 shows (relief).
I hope someone recorded The Lowering.
Did any of you guys go visit Oly?

My advice is simple: experience these artists.
ahhhhh denouncing? so jealous.
The show was about what I expected and more. I didn't really notice the crowd being very crappy, but maybe that was due to being inline with the stage right speakers.
Fantastic show. The solo version of Murder In The City was beautiful and I'd never heard Average Man before, it gave me the chills. Anyone notice the Murder lyrics changed from sister/mother to daughter/her mother?
Till I became an Average Man, I never even owned a gun.... Wait, what?
Wouldn't it be the other way around?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
"Where Have All The Average People Gone?" is a Roger Miller song they've been covering lately, and I believe it was Scott who said he wished he'd written that song. Very good stuff.

The Murder lyrics have evolved over time Sarah...nice to see how many people notice.

Hope it's not too creepy since I don't know this wonderful Liz Devine, but saw these great shots of hers on Flickr from before the show: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lizdevine/sets/72157624538826412/

"I have a home in Carolina, Not far from the city lights, But we can see the stars at night baby.. baby"
wobble--bite me. (ps, miss you!)
I think the sucky crowd comment was due to the fact that the balcony, at least, with the exception of the Pretty Girl in the White Dress was sitting for most of it--didn't seem that into it, but what do I know. maybe they like to enjoy quietly.
highlights for me:
The Lowering, one of the most beautiful things I've seen them ever do live, Ill With Want (finally!), SSS (thanks Ricker), a beautiful Murder in the City (Scott almost always changes it to daughter/mother when he sings it solo now), beautiful version of Average People, Skin and Bones and Down with the Shine.
Marissa got about half of Lowering on video, but security stopped her. I did not like the staff there.
Scott's voice was so on, maybe the best I've ever heard him, and they are doing some interesting vocalizations lately.
Liz is the official photographer for the McMenamin's chain in Portland--she is an amazing photographer.
