so i was walking through the nashville airport on my way to see the boys at the house of blues and i saw this shirt (please take time to now look at the shirt). wow, is it just me or is there something very familiar about that. it could be an honest mistake of the swift camp but part of it kind of makes me mad.

link works. This sucks. Now every 11- 35 year old women will be wearing these shirts...lame
It's the way of life. Every good idea and cool fashion eventually goes mainstream and jumps the shark.
With the T-Swift crew taking this one over, it may jump the shark, then jump a whale, the the Fonz might fistfight the shark and... well... you get my point. Hopefully.
whaaaaaaat. how lame. u_u it's not even that cool, I mean what if someone (that's living under a ROCK) doesn't know that's a taylor swift song.. seems kinda stupid.
besides we're TAB fans. We're already fearless!
Atleast the people that have a Team Avett shirt knows whats special about them

Were the Team Avett shirts made by fans? Or sold?
They were made by a fan. I can't recall the name.
I hate being a newbie. :l

Tim and Allie--if you want one, you can email them at jointeamavett@gmail.com for details. they have a lot going on right now, so it may be awhile before any orders get placed or sent out, I'm guessing, though they'd be the ones to say for sure.

I seriously doubt that the Taylor Swift camp could give a flying #%!* about Team Avett. She sold 4 million albums in 2008 alone. Avetts are a blip compared to that. A good idea is a good idea and is going to get co-opted. They are out to make money.
That said. Team Avett jerseys are by fans, for fans. Will always be about the family, and nothing else matters, does it?
I highly doubt that the idea was taken from Team Avett. What with the whole "Team Edward/Team Jacob" and I've seen a lot of retail stores carrying the balltee jerseys... they probably just put two and two together. But we all know who made it cool.
I guess I've been living under a rock because I can't name a single Taylor Swift song.
All I really know about her is, my sister says, she's f***ing some Nascar driver, and Kanye West ruined her acceptance speech on MTV.
f*** Nascar and MTV, btw.

I'm with Nate, I don't know anything about her except my brother talks about how hot he thinks she is and my sister likes her, which is enough for me to know that I probably wouldn't get on board.

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different, we love to talk on things we don't know about.
Taylor Swift may not appeal to most people here but she deserves a little bit of respect as an artist. She writes all her own songs and she conducts herself with repect unlike most young stars. She isn't out there flashing her lady lumps just to get someone to buy her record.

I have to agree with AK Kate. I do not listen to her music, but it's b/c it's not my style and I'm over the age of 18. BUT, I respect that she writes her own stuff and plays an instrument and seems to not be one of these typical young star train wrecks. I do not hate her. I don't listen to her music, but I respect her -ish.

I might be an a**hole when it comes to things like this, even a music snob, but I don't have any respect for an "artist" who gets their start from American Idol, is propelled to fame in the music industry because they're physically attractive, or is associated with the monster that is Nashville "country". Not to say she's not talented, because I assume she must be. It's just personal preference. It's not that I'm totally closed minded against ANY kind of music. I'll give anything a chance. But in my experience, most American Idol-ish anything, doesn't suit my taste. And I'm highly skeptical when I hear of these "artists" cranked out of the Nashville machine, who "write their own music." But, like I said, I'm not familiar, and may be wrong. She may be a great songwriter.

I'm not disagreeing with you, Nate, but she's not from the Idol machine. and I'm *seriously* not defending Taylor Swift b/c I really don't think of her ever unless the media throws her in my face. just clarifying.
interesting background: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taylor_Swift
I'm just glad I haven't seen any pictures of her without underwear or coked out.

My 5 year old knows a few Taylor Swift songs, but she knows more TAB songs! I love hearing my girl sing November Blue and I&L&Y.
Jen: That's kind of my point about the media "throwing an 'artist' in your face". It's like, I'm automatically turned off when that happens. Word of mouth, leading to me checking out a band's records/shows has always been my simple formula for being turned on to great music. I just get offended when I'm told what to listen to by a network or mainstream magazine/radio station. Maybe that's why the Avetts in Starbucks, on CMT, and "One Tree Hill" are bittersweet. ANYWAY, I don't wanna open that can of worms. But I know what you're saying. She wasn't an American Idol?

Yeah, totally agree with you there and generally not a fan of the mainstream anyway.
nope, she wasn't.

Oh Man! I am so sleepy! I thought for sure Jen said up there that she was glad she hasn't seen any photos of TS without her underwear with her c*** out. Eek. Likely my brain was getting mixed-up with Nate's talk of GG Allin.
I probably should have kept this entire impression to myself, but I'm also too sleepy to self-censor.
I think if we were to see a picture of TS without her underwear and her c*** out, we'd all be a little more fascinated.

I didn't say I didn't like her music. I don't know anything about her music. There is a market for that kind of artist, and I'm not in the demographic. That doesn't mean that others shouldn't enjoy her, I just haven't felt compelled to listen to her.
--
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different, we love to talk on things we don't know about.
Not hatin' on TS but is it just me or do all her songs sound the same?, but I guess it's just one of those things... maybe in 20 years she'll have something more interesting to sing about. right now. Idc. I do respect her for writing her own music and instrument, and shes a better role model to younger girls than most of mainstream these days. ugh. *barfs*

I think the baseball T's are just part of a current trend and the idea probably wasn't stolen from the TAB fans who decided to print their own shirts. Over here in England the baseball T's are sold in brand shops such as Burton and Top man for around £6 each...about $10.
In my opinion Taylor Swift is a really talented girl but recieves a god-awful rep because of alot of manufactured artists in the industry nowadays and what with shows like Idol/X-factor/...Got Talent etc people don't know real music anymore. (Not a shot at this person but...) Even someone on here thought she was a reject/winner from the IDOL camp and she's not.
She writes her own songs and while they are very much "country-pop" and appeal, for the most part to a younger audience, she deserves credit for writing her own songs and playing an instrument where as alot of todays top-chart musicians can barely sing let alone write their own songs and play an instrument.
I'm 22 and I own a TS record and I really enjoy it in a way...but I also listen to a heck of alot else such as TAB, Drag The River, Lenny & The Piss Poor Boys, Damien Rice, Joseph Arthur, The Low Anthem, Chatham County Line, Joe Pug and more.
if anyone could make a shirt while giving birth, it would be allie! that girl doesnt rest!
