It's been slow for a while, but the last couple of days have been ridiculous!! If it isn't addressed, I may take a break. I can't stand waiting 3-4 minutes for one page to open.

I keep shoes on from the time I wake until the time I go to sleep. I was in a fist fight once, back in high school, and I was wearing flip-flops. I found it difficult to defend myself without shoes on, so I always keep a pair on now. Just in case.

Seems a bit better today, at least for me. Yesterday was ridiculous.
Still ridiculously slow for me.... yesterday and today. I gave up on posting a couple of times because the wait was too long.

yeah, it was down for a few today and i hoped they were working on it, but it's still sluggish...
I retract my previous comment. It seemed to be better, but is now as bad, if not worse. Also, started doing weird things every time I tried to click on a post to read.... was this just me?
I too have given up and left the site a few times.
weird stuff .... only that it wouldn't put the page titles at the top. ya know, boards,tour,news and such. odd
never had this trouble on a site before. I will be positive about it being fixed soon.
Just took me 3.5 minutes to open this thread from the discussion board. Someone needs to do something about this.

Took me 4 min to open this. I have been having this problem for about a month, but it's def gotten worse. I know what you mean CbusTrev- click.work.read. But it takes even longer if you wanna post something. I hope it gets better or at least addressed soon.

very slow for me too the last few days...
This site has been slow for me for months and months. I don't frequent here as much as I used to just because of it. 30+ seconds to go from one page to another is too long for me! Seems to be just the forums though, the rest of the site is fine.
i rarely log on here anymore and since it is running slow for me AND i have no search function(still?)....i just wanted to say that 1 year ago, a serious a$$ beating almost went down in ybor city, tampa, fl.-for the stolen avett nation banner that tink painted and many of us signed.
that is all.

yessssssssssssssssss, slow is not even the word for it!! if i want to look at posts, i have to click on it, downsize the page, go about my other business, and check back later to see if it's finally opened. it's a little frustrating
It is very slow on my computer too. I rarely read the boards anymore. It goes a little faster for me if I right click on the thread that I want to read and then click "open in a new window." It seems to load faster for me that way.
Lars and Patti - can you look into this? It is maddening. And also the missing search function?

ive noticed this site has been excruciatingly slow as of late. this thread shows that a lot of people give up on posting because of it. this needs to be addressed. was it just the excitement of the new release?
however after having said all this, today this site has been faster than i ever remember it being.
Communicated with Lars on this. He assured me that he would be on it. It is funny to click on this thread, and then wait.........and wait..........and wait for it to open. Last time I tried to post here, it took so long I gave up and shut down the computer.

It seemed to be running fast this morning after the site went down for a bit in the wee hours of the morning (3am I'm guessing?)
Just as I came to this thread to post that...it took 2 minutes to open it.
I had the same problem blasto i was all excited to comment on the quickness of site after leaving it alone for few days
It's slow enough for me to zone out and forget what I'm doing while the page is loading. Then I'm like "Where am I? How did I get here?" and I have to go lay down and take a nap.

Unfortunately that's been an on-going issue for a looooong time. Before we even switched to this board format, I believe.
Am I the only one that still gets taken to the begging of the thread, even after clicking on the number of new posts?
Nope, Blasto, me too. It takes me to the around the 3rd post whether clicking on 1 new reply or 10. And still no search box.
Anyone else not getting their signatures attached?
These continuing site issues could be due to the spyware Sony installed. I am so pissed about that.

As far as the spyware goes, my browser only gave me a warning that one day. Maybe it stopped giving it after I went ahead and entered the site anyway a few times, but my guess was that whatever issue was going on to cause that message was quietly resolved. Who knows?
