On Easter 2008 I met my now fiancee. We went on a couple of dates and she had an extra ticket for a April 2008 Avett brothers show at Slims in San Francisco. Since I had not heard of the Avett Brothers before I youtubed and myspaced them. Then in January 2010 for my birthday my then fiancee blindfolded me and drove from Sacramento to Reno. She played songs that defined us, a majority of them are Avett songs. As we drove into Reno she played "January Wedding" As soon as Seth's guitar started I ripped off my blindfold and knew that she was giving me her as my wife that day! We are heading to Reno this weekend for the first time since we got our own January Wedding. I hope that they play that during the Reno show. How fitting would that be.The very first song that I heard was Die Die Die and from that very moment my life was changed and I have since seen 5 more TAB shows, have went out and purchased all of the Avetts music. Thank you for being the soundtrack for my wife and my lives together.

I agree. Most of the soundtrack of my last two years is dominated by the Avetts. Congrats, and good luck!

look, Max, if you go to enough shows, you'll eventually hear the rarities, like JW and....well, do I have to say it?
