I guess I'll throw my two cents in on how I play the intro chords. I play them based around the G chord and if you try and give this a shot, you'll obviously just have to know when to make the changes based on the song. Anyway, here's what i play (w/ capo on 4 like you all said above):

It kind of posted this funky and not as lined-up as I had typed it out, but it's basically the chords and then a little walk-up to a C chord when the verse starts.
