Just rec'd the following e-mail from Gov't Mule. Hadn't seen any mention yet.
GOV'T MULE W/ THE AVETT BROTHERS @ RED ROCKS - LABOR DAY WEEKEND
We are pleased to announce that Gov't Mule will be returning to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on Saturday September 4th with Special Guests The Avett Brothers. Also joining us on the bill will be The Truth & Salvage Co. Note: This will be a regular 2-set headline GM show, proceeded by an extended set by The Avett Brothers, with Truth & Salvage Co to open. Pre-Sale Tickets will be available this Monday March 1st @ Noon Mountain Time through Mule Ticketing.

Not sure If i can make the trip out West yet or not, but we'll see.... if they can post some other shows right around then - I'm definitely game

Ditto. I've been needing a good reason to return to Red Rocks. A Gov't Mule show "proceeded" by and EXTENDED TAB set sounds like a good one.
Somebody oughta tell 'em the word they meant is "preceded."

Definitely one of the best outdoor venues. Saw the other TAB (Trey Anastasio Band) there 2x in 2001. Won't be able to make it since I always hit moe.down on Labor Day weekend but it looks like a great time and a 'not miss' if you can swing it!

I've been to every moe.down (10 for 10!) so yes. But I missed TAB when they played there, whatever year that was... wish I had caught them. My gf and I went to the show in Ithaca - November '08 with little to no knowledge of TAB but had heard great things. We've been heavily into them since!
