Sure, Team Avett jerseys are the greatest but it's time to venture into new merchandising/fan territory.
Who's got a good design and who's got connections to get some of these things made up?!?
Oh, and someone mentioned a Tau Alpha Beta flag on the other thread. Excellent idea.

Also, I vote to skip the numbers on this one & just keep it simple, fun, & cheaper for all. How about white on red for a variation on the theme? Just my two cents.

I was thinking that, too, Angi. Normally you'd expect upper case, but then it just looks like regular letters.
And, yeah, I also vote no numbers--nice that it's a different idea and then it makes it much easier to order (just ask Tim and Allie!)

Yes, the numbers on the back would definitely add to the cost. And cheaper is always better. Plus, I like the suggestion of the white on red. I'll try to make one up tomorrow and maybe look up some prices for buying in quantity.
I'm leaning towards the lower case as well just because you can actually tell they're greek letters. Too bad it's not The Delta Brothers band or something like that.

Well...two-sided shirts add extra cost. Also, I think having the "house" reference under the greek letters helps put it in context.

I wonder what the reaction of the frat boys (who we've typically bemoaned about being in the crowds now) to these shirts would be? Covet? Offend? A bit of both?
Also, one request: short sleeve & of a more breathable material than the Team Avett shirts. They're great quality, but in the summer & in a packed venue they are a little too hot.

That said, I like the capitalized version and Angi's idea about a mission statement.

I think it would be cool if people all wanted to get the same style of shirt at first, but it also might be cool if people could use this concept and get their own version, as well, somewhere down the line. (tank tops, for example.) I've never wanted to alter my Team Avett shirt or use the idea to get another version, just in keeping with Tim and Allie's vision, esp. since they originally created them just for themselves and a couple friends. But since so many people are in on this one, wouldn't it be okay to order different incarnations of this idea later on?

Love this idea. Would be great if we each could customize - dont know if that can be done... But count me in. My pref is a baseball tee like the Team Avett shirts: Blk w/white sleeves or white w/blk sleeves. And would also love a blk or white tank.
I'd be happy to get a competitive quote. I work with a company that does premiums and ad specialties. We'd likely get a price break at 500 and 1,000 quantities. For best pricing, would need to provide them the artwork. but am pretty sure they could do a layout or two for approval. Just let me know and i will investigate. Julie

I like the idea of multiple versions, multiple colors, multiple shirt designs. Absolutely for lower case. By the way, my zazzle hoodies can be purchased as is from zazzle or modified to suit. I think zazzle will prove to be the cheapest, most versatile option. They have done well for me on multiple occasions. They eliminate the heavy duty effort that Tim and Allie put into Team Avett. And I doubt they want the "business" as theirs is a labor of love not profit.

I agree. that way no one has to take on the responsibility and everyone can get what they want. esp. since if you order mutlples, it would be a pain to either 1. get the money from everyone first or 2. front it yourself.
I think it's cool that everyone can kind of agree on a concept and some basics--appearance of the letters, motto (tear down the house or whatever) and then go with it.

I didn't realize you could just design and order your own single item through Zazzle. That's pretty freakin' cool. Definitely the better, easier way to go.
