I was wearing an Avett Bros shirt and three punksters approached me telling me how much they loved their music. They told me to check out "The devil makes three". I forgot all about it until I spotted this video accidentally (I was viewing Thile/Daves).

I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the clawhammer.

The Devil Makes Three is a great band. The CD "Do Wrong Right" is a favorite of mine. You should also check out the solo CD from their guitarist/frontman Pete Bernhard. It's good stuff.

Just saw them last night. It was excellent! the show sold out (Higher Ground in Burlington, VT) and I think that really surprised the band. I would go see them if you have the chance.

After reading the thread on avett discussion about who we'd like to see open for the Avett's, I wrote down a bunch (after all TAB fans have good taste!) and checked a bunch out last night. The Devil Makes Three definitely made the top of my list. Then I found out they were gonna be at the Cradle. I will definitely make that show.

I'm not familiar with them, but I'm seeing them in concert tomorrow night. They're opening for Flogging Molly and Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears.

Well now instead of telling our Avett-fan-friends to check out M&S(no offense, a great band,), we can recommend these guys! Really great sound they have.
