What song is, in your opinion, the best overlooked song the brothers have ever released? I'm going to go with closing night from Country Was, an amazing song that not many people list among their favorites from that record.

The Tales of Coming News from Emotionalism.
^ Overlooked? That makes a lot of people's favorite list. How about Those Green Eyes. Catchy & simple. I love it.
Those Green Eyes gets my vote too. It has such amazing guitar work.
Tales of Coming News is not from Emotionalism. It was released years earlier on a CD with In The Curve. It was just thrown in as a bonus with the Emotionalism download.
You're right sundayrehab, but most people probably have both In The Curve and Tales of Coming News listed as an extension of Emotionalism. It may not be *from* Emotionalism, but it was more widely distributed as such. I doubt a lot of people own the EP you're referring to.
Hand Me Down Tune. I love how it builds and you don't get the full impact and message until the end. It's just so beautiful.
I've always loved 40 east
I'm gonna go with a newer one, "It Goes On and On". Has been my favorite tune on I and Love and You for a while now...
Anyone know why they don't play this one live??
I agree with Hand Me Down Tune, the cello work in that song is simply beautiful and the the message is lovely too.
Might be because I'm a newer fan that I don't get to hear the older songs much but Smoke In Our Lights and Do You Love Him are two that I think are sooo great. Smoke In Our Lights especially...I didn't fully appreciate it until I heard in on Live Vol. 2. Wow now I have chills just thinking about it.
Smoke in our lights, yes and those green eyes. Four thieves gone and Feb. 20. 2000 Both really good songs that I think dont get alotta love.
Closing night, I love you still, and February 20, 2000 defiantly and just in general I think the country was songs need more attention and most defiantly need to be played more live.
Shame, and Hand me down tune.
Hmm.... Hard Worker.
Beside the Yellow LIne.
I tend to forget about it when it is not for some reason. For being such a good song, I never woke up with in in my head like others, say SSS.
knucklehead, It Goes On is also one of my favorites from I&L&Y, while it is playing
The Weight of Lies.
SSS!
Smoke In Our Lights and Hand Me Down Tune, those move me every single time.
Find My Love.
