It is killing me right now that I am working and TAB is about to start a tour that I would give anything to attend. Very jealous of you fans that get to see TAB over ini Europe. Enjoy and please give us statesiders detailed reviews.
Dublin and London are five hours ahead, the rest of the continent is 6 hours ahead of the east coast, BUT after tonight, it will be 4 and 5, because we recognize daylight savings 2 weeks before Europe does.

Wish me luck, I know you think I'll need it.

So, it's 10:37pm in Dublin right now. If it goes, time-wise, like it does here, doors at 8, opener at 9, boys on stage by 10-10:15, they should be a few songs into their set right about now! so curious....
ps can you tell I'm bored at work today???

Well, I will be happy to oblige with a setlist, although I will have to warn you it is not in the exact order as A) I've had very little sleep in the last 48 hours and B) I was far too excited at the time to remember. I want to, and hope to, write a review and was going to wait to include it with that, but here you go:
Laundry Room
Denouncing November Blue
Head Full of Doubt, Road Full of Promise
January Wedding
Paranoia in B-Flat Major
Shame
Bella Donna
Go To Sleep
Colorshow
Distraction #74
Wanted Man
Salina
The Perfect Space
Slight Figure of Speech
At The Beach
Murder In the City
Pretty Girl From Chilie
I and Love and You
The Weight of Lies---Encore
*if anyone remembers the order better, or I've left something off, or even if I've put something up that they didn't play and I simply imagined them singing it in my head (which is always a possibility) then feel free to say so.
As a side note, the show was absolutely fantastic. I hadn't seen them since June 2007 at the NC Museum of Art, just a few weeks before I moved back to Scotland (which would be why I've not seen them since) and the show was everything I had hoped it would be. I had missed seeing them in small venues as (being from NC originally) the last few shows I'd seen had been in fairly large venues given the size of the NC following. I took my boyfriend (who somehow in his 24 years had never been to a live gig before) and he is now fully an Avett convert. He's already begun the same excited ranting about their greatness live that I've been spouting the last 5 years. I couldn't be prouder. Okay that's all for now, I'm off to continue recovering. Hope this tidbit has been helpful, and hopefully I'll get myself together enough to write a proper review.
Blasto--is there a secret Glasgow show that hasn't been listed? I would love it if there was! Won't get my hopes up though. I would certainly be going if there was, but I think they've skipped Scotland this time around. Unfortunately lack of money and a full time job is preventing me from making the London show too.
joshwobble--I wrote you a wee reply about the crowd earlier and then somehow managed to delete it before even posting, I blame lack of sleep, but in short the crowd was very good, lots of singing along and screaming our heads off in between. I'd guess it was at least 50% American considering I met 5 within the first 30 seconds of joining the queue to get in, 3 of which were fellow North Carolinians.
Thanks, Expat!! It's odd that they have three days between Dublin and London, but I guess they are doing a lot of press. Apparently they are in Glasgow just for the day according to some of the Facebook statuses.
So glad you got to see them again after all this time and your bf finally gets it. Really glad the crowd was so into it.
Wow, 50% American?
Do you mind if I copy that over into the Setlist section, as well? (unless you planned to, then I won't. )

Good job with the setlist. The only one you forgot was wanted man. Those are kind of out of order. I'll post the order when I get back to the states unless bgav76 beats me to it. More details of the show to come. Promise!

Hi chilixx, you are more than welcome to repost the setlist. I hadn't noticed the setlist topic at the time, sorry! I don't know if you want to wait until someone gets the correct order up though as katminelli correctly pointed out I don't have them in the right order apart from opening, closing, and encore haha.
Out of curiousity, did anyone notice if they mentioned when/where in Glasgow they would be? I had a look on facebook and couldn't see it. I've got a holiday from work today and wouldn't mind bumping into them!
Expat, no worries, just figured we should get it there eventually--for posterity (you know for years from now.)
bgav did send me an update on her show experience and the setlist, but I'll let one of you showgoers update us! thanks again, you guys, for the updates, we've been excited to hear.
I think they were just in Glasgow for the day. I saw a FB update from Joe today saying they were heading to London now.

Ok I lied about waiting to post the ordered setlist. It's up now. Details of my show experience really will have to wait though because there's no way I have the patience to type that all out on my iPod.

I hope someone posts the setlist. I'm very curious too.
it's tomorrow in Irishland, and still no setlist.
Darn Irish ale! TAB were probably the only sober people in the house.

that's fantastic, thanks for posting. looks like a lot of fun. how was the crowd? did they yell "Volume 1" at the appropriate time?
Thanks AppalachianExpat! That's a solid setlist, though nothing too out of the ordinary.
