What would they do?
What would they do?

(The question probably has came around during an interview.)
What do you guys think that Scott and Seth would be doing, if they never done what they do best. Follow after their Dad with the business.. or some crazy job? What about Bob? Joe?
I can't think of them doing anything else. They're wonderful at what they do. God bless The Avett family for being so musically inclined!

I'm glad they aren't doing anything else...in one of the Woodsongs clips, Seth said they had just quit their full time jobs, which he claimed "was a horrible idea."
Turns out...Seth was wrong! It was the best choice they ever made!

I feel like I heard/read an interview where Scott said he would be a veterinarian...and maybe Seth would have been an astronaut? I might have made up that second part; I don't remember the interview particularly well. I don't have any idea about Bob or Joe, though.

Joe would be a food critic.

Once upon a time I heard Bob was pre-med- but who knows if I'm even remembering that correctly.
Scott a vet? Hm. That's interesting- I bet his creativity would have translated well to a medical field; great doctors think on their feet and outside the norm. (Maybe I'm partial? My best friend is an MD.)
It's hard to think about them doing anything else, no?
imagine what we would be doing if there wasn't a band...HA.
not only are they bringing great music but they bring us together as a little avett family...AWWWWWWWW

hahaha. was that interview from when they were five years old, luvmuffyn?
scott was into radio broadcasting as a major before art, so the public may have still been graced with his voice and personality in some form. although, hearing the leland history, I betcha he would be pursuing the art gig full time if it wasn't for the music. he can roll with the big wheels...some of his stuff is really top notch.
i think i heard that seth used to be a hand model. (Stop, Anj. That's how rumors get started.)
Hahaha...Now that you mention it, it kinda' sounds like that LOL! I don't think it was, but maybe Scott was reflecting on what he and Seth wanted to be when they were growing up, which is kind of a different question.

luvmuffyn - i remember something along those lines... I also, vaguely, remember a question in an intereview asked them where they saw themselves in 20 years or something and Seth said he wanted to still be in the music business either as a studio guitarist or sound engineer ( somehting like that) and Scott said he didn't think he'd be in the music business at all but rather working with his hands ( can't remember exactly what he said though) - i want to say some sort of structural engineer, but not positive....

Well Locust, Mount Pleasant, Concord.... LETS GOOO!
I'm happy you remember something similar; your memory sounds about the same as mine...just fuzzy enough to where you can't remember all the details, but you know it happened and have a rough idea of what was said.

Joe would have been an emcee in a karaokee bar.
