When are the Avett Brothers coming to Australia?

Hi
I am a big fan of the Avett Brothers, which wouldn't distinguish me from the rest of you here, barring the fact that I come from Perth in Western Australia (a state of Australia, which would seem fairly obvious, although geography is not everyone's strongpoint).
I have been listening to the Avett's since hearing Talk On Indolence on the Music for Robot's blog in late 2005. I bought Four Thieves Gone on the strength of that and was not let down, and I have snapped up everything else before and after.
The only problem is that unless I fly to the US, which is tempting but not a real option, I can't see the Avett Brothers live, and I regularly here how good the Avett's are live.
Is it likely that fans such as myself (and I'm sure there are many others) can catch the Avett's in Australia any time soon.
We have a host of festival's over our summer, most notably the national Big Day Out festival, but also the West Coast Blues & Roots Festival and Southbound in Western Australia, so you can drag yourself out of the northern winter, and revel in a warm southern hemisphere summer.
Good luck with the new album, I hope it provides a springboard for some international shows.

I know I'd be willing to camp in backyards, couches & bathtubs to get to see them there, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Many of us would probablly consider that a dream trip...especially if they were say playing a fest that included The Cat Empire and a few other Aussie bands in the line-up.

i don't believe its a matter of "when," but rather " will they ever come to Australia..."
if i were you - i'd plan a nice 2 week vacation to the US, when The Avetts were going to be playing an nice string of dates close together - so you could pack as much in as possible...
That is probably far more realistic, for now...
Honestly who knows. A couple of years ago the boys were in England so other parts of the world will be next. I mean with the new record deal who knows. I just hope they let us all know well in advance so we can make plans. Seeing the boys in Europe would definitely be a dream trip.
diamond joe - you definitely have a point, however, you also have to realize that they went to europe back when it was just Scott (his banjos), Seth ( guitars), Bob ( bass), a kickdrum and a high hat.... they now have a full drum set, keys, more banjos, more guitars, a backdrop, and have added Joe and Pete (lighting).... the cost of travel is more expensive and the trip is nearly twice as far..... not saying it won't happen - i just wouldn't wait for it, nor would i wait for an overseas tour any time soon - especially with the increase in popularity in the US within the past year...
I know that last time they went over seas they took a banjo a guitar and rened the whole bass rig. They could probably also rent keys and a drum kit.
