ohhh...that gave me chills! didn't think anything could rival the arcade fire soundtrack...but this is awesome.
I wish this was for real. The song suited the trailer very nicely. Whoever edited that together did a really good job.
it wasn't really edited at all. someone just took the video from the official trailer and deleted the sound and then put the avetts song directly on top of it. you could achieve the same effect by muting the trailer and listening to the song on itunes.

decide what to be and go be it.
Oh, if only this were for real...gave me chills...it's perfectly suited...man...
I like the "Wake Up" by The Arcade Fire better as the trailer song.

Makes me want to see it even more. I'm taking my daughter to the first showing and I'm sure I'm more excited than she is about it.
meh....
Can't wait for the movie, though. Was always my favorite book when I was young, and I've had a couple of WTWTA t-shirts over the years (although it was cool when they were rare, but I'm certain that's about to change).
Last Xmas when I would shop at the Barnes & Nobles they had a book drive for the local children's hospital and you could buy books and donate them. I think they were actually quite successful and I hope they do it again, but the relevant part of the story is that the display had several shelves of books to choose from. The top 3 shelves were labeled $1.99, $2.99, and $3.99. I noticed that the bottom 2 shelves had no pricing, but I figured "how much could it be?" and that's were the Wild Things book was. The first time I didn't notice the price because I was actually Xmas shopping and buying a few things, but the next week I stopped in to buy a magazine and donated another book but noticed my bill was kinda high. Sure enough they were charging me $8.99 for the Wild Things book which is fair I guess, but considerably more than the 1.99 - 3.99 price range.
My next trip in for some last minute gift giving a couple of weeks later and the saleperson asked me if I'd like to donate a book, yadda yadda... I almost went with a cheaper book because I wanted to help but felt a little "bait and switched."
However I donated another copy of WTWTA anyway, because if I'm gonna give a kid a book, that's the one.

I always liked In the Night Kitchen more, but maybe that's because/why I love food so much.
the song definitely fits the movie. good find!
Ah, The Night Kitchen. That one was funny. My little girl didn't quite know what to do about the nekkid kid in the kitchen.

What's distinctive about the Avetts...is a dedication to exploring a specific dynamic: the intense expression of soft emotions. ---Ann Powers of the L.A. Times
Gotta admit.....that goes perfect with the trailer. Good find
