I would love to see the avett brothers in concert but do not want to go to the u.s to do so. I think that they need to set up a couple of dates in Ontario.

I don't know about Ontario, but they were in Vancouver last year or the year before (I forget which). I realize that's probably not often enough, but it has happened in the past.

Shows in New York, Seattle, Michigan give a lot of Canadians a good shot at a show. You guys have 222 (over the counter codeine) which sort of levels the playing field. I don't think headaches exist in Canada.
They are severely allergic to back bacon?

Yup. Toronto. On Canadian Thanksgiving. I don't remember it well. But I was there.
Seems like the best bet would be to change 1 persons aversion to coming stateside as opposed to hoping an entire band will change their plans to wander in to the great north.

Oh Canada! I had some great times there (between the ages of 19 and 21). One of my most favorite non-Avett shows ever was Tenacious D at The Government in Toronto. Most people hadn't heard them but they came out b/c somebody told them it would be a great time. By the end of the show the whole crowd was jumping around and laughing and doing their best to sing along. Bonus: We got our album cover autographed by JB, KG, and Lee!

I heard the passport office is scared that other countries can't handle the Avett phenomenon and denied their visas..
that or they love their own Avett Nation so much they are still attempting to hit all US cities first..

My sister and I traveled from Maryland to Seattle and Vancouver in Sept. 2007 for the Brothers. The Vancouver show was one of my all time favorites. So intimate...the venue was like a Shakespearian Theatre. I'm sure before too long they will be back up there but in the meantime the road goes both ways.
