I just have to say that I'm floored by these guys. I wish I had known about them a long time ago. I saw them on CMT Artists of the Year and they absolutely blew my mind. I am now a fan for life. They are so original and raw. Loving it!

This is really awesome to hear! Just know, their newer stuff is quite different from anything they've done before, so give it a few chances - you might not like their older music right away, but it'll surely grow on you.

watch their youtube videos. ever since i became a fan in february i've watched at least an hour of their youtube videos before i go to bed....no exaggeration haha
My entry into the avett world was through i and love and you, but going through their earlier records was so gratifying/amazing. I play their earlier songs now more than the ones on i and love and you. There truly is an avett song for every mood/emotion. Finding the avett brothers is really one of the/if not the best thing that happened to me this year, including seeing them live in nj for the first time. I can't wait for february, when I'd get to see them again.
Welcome to the FAMILY...and the longer you are around, and get to know the band, and their fans, the more you'll realize just what a family it is! Like PG Matthews said...get into their previous albums...it will change you!
I caught on to them after the Grammys performance earlier this year. Bought I and Love and You, liked it a lot but it wasn't until I got into Emotionalism and Mignonette that I was absolutely addicted. It really will change you, I've never experienced anything comparable to TAB. You're in for a treat listening to all their material, WELCOME and ENJOY!

Welcome to the family! It's an amazing group to be a part of. I have met some of my best friends through this band. Their music truly is life changing. Emotionalism effected me in ways that words still cannot describe.
I found them watchin' the grammys last year.
Woah, knucklehead, that link was amazing! I've watched countless amounts of live videos on youtube but never realized there could be whole concerts like that lurking about. Have any more links? (I feel like I should make a separate thread for this)
