Congrats... make sure the young one gets a guitar nice and early! When are you lads coming to Ireland???? I'll promote it myself if I have to...!

I first heard of you guys from the Letterman performance of "I and Love and You" and was instantly hooked. So I bought tickets to the OK show last Sept. Well, things didn't work out, and I ended up missing that concert. I was thrilled when I saw the Dallas show announement and got tickets for that. Then in Jan, I was diagnosed with cancer. Yeah, bummer. One of my thoughts while I was in the hospital was, "Dang it! I'm gonna miss the Avett Bros again!". So you see, I had my priorities straight.

While I can't wait to see you guys for the re-scheduled Oct. show, this might actually work out better b/c the friend I wanted to attend the show couldn't make it this past Sat. Third time's a charm! Hope I'll finaly get to see you guys in Oct.

A 2nd congrats to you and your family on welcoming your 2nd child. Enjoy this time off and celebrate your new arrival with as much love and joy as you can.....and make sure you do not cancel your SunFest trip to West Palm Beach, Florida. I have never have had the pleasure to see you guys live in concert and would be really disappointed but still would totally understand if it did get cancelled, fingers crossed.

Wow! You guys have the most compassionate fans. I, however, am very very saddened and heartbroken for Saturday night. I hope that they name this new baby after me. Or, at the very least, write me a song titled 'Pretty girl from Saltillo'. Good luck with everything and with little baby Colleen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As an RNC-OB who has worked in Women's Services for the last 17 years, I can only say it is wonderful that this new little Avett has a concerned & caring father awaiting his/her arrival!

My husband's grandmother died this morning and her visitation is set for Thursday evening in Louisiana; thus, we were going to have to miss the Houston show that I have been looking forward to for months. What a blessing this baby is now for us that you have to reschedule allowing us to be able to make the new show (fingers crossed anyway) in May. Congrats on the new baby! It's really amazing the timing of lives leaving and entering this world and the blessings they both can be.

Congratulations on the impending arrival of the little one! As a mom and grandmother, I am so proud that you are putting your family FIRST, as so many musicians/entertainers do not!

Very awesome news and many congrats! One question though: do we need to get a refund for our current tickets and repurchase ones for the rescheduled show or can we just use the tickets we have now for the rescheduled shows? Either way, can't wait to see y'all!

Congratulations on your second child! Our second child is a rambunctious 3 year old boy with Down Syndrome that LOVES the Avett Brothers! We were thrilled you were playing in a family friendly venue in Austin so we could surprise you with your biggest fan. So I am begging and pleading that October be at a family friendly place. So happy and hope your second brings you as many blessings as our did to us!

Congrats on the child, I think you are making the right choice. With that being said, this is the second time you are rescheduling a Dallas show in as many years... Please continue to make great music and maybe not polish the next album as much.

Welcome to the world, Baby Avett. We will happily change our travel arrangements for this joyous occasion. Congrats to the family and we hope you enjoy every little sigh. See you in Dallas in the fall.
