NYE Ticket Update
All pre-sale tickets for our NYE shows have now sold-out. Thank you to all our early email list buyers for your continued support!
If you haven't got tickets for our gigs in Tennessee, North Carolina, or Georgia, you can still purchase tickets this Friday(October 9th) when they go on sale to the general public. We still have plenty of great seats left, especially for our general admission shows.
Check back on Friday for more ticket information, we don't want to miss you! And look for more dates being announced over the next few weeks...

Nobody knows it but I am so sad
I was so afraid this would happen. I'm so happy for the Avett's success - but I was shut out of NYE! I was a little disappointed in the Asheville venue as opposed to a Charlotte venue - just because of proximity - but now I'm just bummed. Looks like I'll have to make the trek to either Knoxville or Atlanta - oh well, I'll get in somewhere. If someone has an extra - throw an old Avett head a bone!
A Moving Chapter
Really enjoyed that one. I'm going to my first Avett Brothers show week after next, and this makes me that much more excited about it.
I love how diverse the fans are in these videos. As a 43-year-old Avett fan, I'm so glad to see that people of all ages are highlighted in these chapters.
I think that says a lot about the Avett Brothers. They're music has such a mature sense of the passing of time, of growing old, of the connections of family -- how right that young and old would be drawn to it.

Yup
The pre-sale tix sure did sell out fast but there was no confusion and the system was working fine. It's just that it only took about 45 seconds for them all to sell. AMAZING! I luckily got a pre-sale for NYE but missed the ones for the NYD show in Georgia. As soon as I was finished with my transaction for the Asheville tix. Everything for both days was gone, gone, gone.
I think a lot of people just REALLY want to see them now.
Sucks for some who missed out but in general it's pretty awesome for the boys.

wow i was online at the computer at 11:45 on wed for the pre-sale. i was there exactly when they went on sale. i clicked for 2 tickets and it said it would hold them for me for 6 minutes. less than 30 seconds later, i went to purchase them and they were all gone. so much for holding tickets for me. i was pissed...that better not happen friday at noon. all the pre-sale tickets were gone in under 2 minutes....TWO minutes. im from greenville,nc and grew up watching these guys as NEMO at Peasants Cafe. im glad to see they have come such a long way but damn. hope to see all my friends in asheville!

I agree with Jessica L. what happened to 2 presales? I didn't get a chance yesterday and was ready and waiting at 12:55 to find out they had all been bought up yesterday? I think it's wonderful that the fans are this excited about the concert, but 2 pre sales, should be 2 pre sales. I hope there are still some relatively close seats in the general admission tickets. For that matter, I hope I can get tickets to this concert....

Wow, has the time space continuum been compromised? I sure hope that tickets will be available tomorrow. Does anyone know how many presale tixs are gone already ?(I know there ALL gone but how many?) Between the confusion of when they were on the late late show and this ticket deal I don't know if I should go to bed or wake up.

That's not fair! What happened to having 2 pre-sales? I got on at 12 yesterday and was not able to get tickets for the NC show. They were gone by 12:05. I was looking forward to getting them today at 1. I won't be home most of the day tomorrow to get them. I am very disappointed

tears of joy...and sadness
first, I will say that this last video is awesome and brought tears to my eyes-for two reasons...
1) the feeling of a live show was perfectly captured in this last video. I was in that crowd and every time I've seen them, it is truly magical every single time, so awesome job on these videos and again, thank you Avetts ♥
2) the other reason for tears is I am one of the diehard fans who had tickets slip out of my hands yesterday at 12:00 due to system errors...are that many people really going to be vying for these tickets now?!? I have spent NYE with the Avetts for years now, am a native Charlottean (now in TN), and am feeling like I'm not going to be able to see them live so much anymore, but I will still try my hardest Friday this one last time. Best of luck to everyone on getting tickets

CONFUSED...
I thought the general admission tickets were supposed to go on sale TODAY at 1pm? So if I wait until tomorrow, will I miss another opportunity to get New Year's Eve tickets? I would suggest having all the tickets go on sale at the same time, first come first serve, and that way there is NO CONFUSION. Yesterday's tickets were GONE at noon, so this system doesn't seem to be working for most people. Just upsetting people. I'm sure it's encouraging to know so many fans are so eager to get tickets. And it's great to see so many people who are now rabid fans.
Would someone please post whether they actually GOT any presale tickets yesterday and if so, WHEN they got online to buy them?
