We are excited to announce that our cover of John Prine's "Spanish Pipedream" will be released as part of Broken Hearts & Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine.

Help us celebrate the rich and influential music of Prine, along with artists including: My Morning Jacket, Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Conor Oberst And The Mystic Valley Band, Drive-By Truckers, Deer Tick, and more.

Oh My God~ I am so thrilled that you are honoring a man who I feel is the absolute GOD of beautifully written, witty, soul stirring down to earth,real music!! This is just so awesome!! And i know a lot of your fans will think so too!! I would be thrilled if you played a John Prine song for me," Vickimaren" at the phoenix concert ~ could I ever be so lucky!!!! This is just the best news, I am just thrilled~ oh my god, could there be a Prine,Avett concert in the future!! It would be a concert that no-one would soon forget!! Love you guys~ and so proud of you!!!!!! ( I did mention Mr. John Prine to you guys in one of my letters when I was commenting on the tour with John Mayer), this is just so wonderful, My day has just officially been made!!!!!!

I love John Prine! I'm sure the Avetts will produce a worthy cover. Their previous tribute to Johnny Cash was excellent. Great musicians all around.

my tin man and I really enjoy JP. I could have a whole album of the Avetts covering his songs. Just the other day tin man was singing the very song they covered. I love these guys.
