New Years Shows+ Craig Ferguson Tonight!

Help Us Kick Off 2010
As promised, we have just announced three new shows to end a great 2009... Help us ring in the New Year in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia!

Tickets for all three shows will go on sale to those signed up for our email list* tomorrow(October 7th), and to the general public this Friday, October 9th.

*Look for an email between 10-10:30 AM EST with purchase directions. The email list pre-sale will last 24 hours, starting at 12 PM EST tomorrow.

We are excited to be able to celebrate the start of a new year among our fans. Hope to see you out there!

I loved seeing The Avett Brothers on David Letterman, but there was a nervousness I hadn't seen before from them, but whatever it was they left it behind when they took the stage on Craig Ferguson. It was absolutely amazing, it was The Avetts as I know them and I was so happy to see them show every ounce of what they are. I couldn't have asked for a better performance and they all looked great!

You guys totally killed it on the Craig Gerguson show the other night. I recorded it and watched it a couple times. It was just like being at one of your concerts. I'm so glad you decided to lay it all out and not hold back. That performance shows the World why your fans are so loyal!!

Though it was incredibly slow-going. After reading everyone's comments, I'm amazed I made it through without being kicked out because my home connection stinks. Noticed the lag in refreshing right at noon, too, and at every stage in the buying process. LIterally took me 9 mins. to get finished, it was that slow. Good luck to everyone today...definitely log in to the site before noon.

I'm sorry I missed Craig Ferguson last night. Hope it's on YouTube.

This is the biggest news of the last 6 months for me and I just can't contain myself. Living in Knoxville, Ashville is only an hour and fifteen away so you had better believe that I am going to be in heaven come late december!!! This is fantastic!!!

I think it wouldbe great to see the Avett's play a show around Ithaca, NY. There's a huge draw for good music in the area. State Theater would be perfect. I had to leave Newport Folk festival early to work in the mountains of W.VA and missed my last chance. Guess I'm just hoping to see good bands come upstate rather than buffalo, rochester and syracuse

I feel bad seeing how many tried and didn't get them. I have a super-fast connection at work and was on at 11:55 refreshing my browser every few seconds. Right at 12:00 there was a serious lag in refreshing. Had to refresh at least twice to load the page. Was sluggish after that, but I did end up with tickets. Literally at 12:02 I checked back and thought something was wrong when I saw they sold out. I'm concerned that nobody else here has posted about getting tickets. Or are you just too worried that everyone will hate you for getting them to post it Smiling?

i was really really nervous because i had a class from 11:30-12:30. the worst possible timing EVER for this particular event, but as soon as i got out of class at 12:25 (thank goodness we got out early) i whipped out my laptop as quickly as i could and i managed to get 3 tickets to the show at the FOX! right after i got my 3 tickets, it said it was sold out. i guess i just got extremely lucky. i couldn't be happier. I CAN'T WAIT!

I was on the site from work (T1) around 11:30 and kept refreshing every few minutes till they went on sale and got 2 tickets to the Atlanta show. I live in Asheville but didn't even try for it! It was very very slow, which I think that was the case for everyone. No matter which show you go to, it's going to be a super fantastic way to end and begin a year that's for sure!

I was on the Presale site refreshing from 11:55 on, and at 12 I got 2 tickets to Knoxville... but before I could even get back to the other cities at 12:04 they were GONE... will try again tomorrow at the next presale! (Maybe I can get better seats in Knoxville?? Row F at the moment....)

The Fergusen Show absolutely killed last night! Seriously. I was a little concerned about the Letterman performance. It was good and I'm not complaining...I just wanted the world to see and feel what I've experienced firsthand and I didn't feel like that happened. Last night though, I thought the whole world could FEEL it. I stayed up late to watch and grinned like a fool throughout, especially at the hollering crescendo at the end. Well done y'all, well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watched the brothers appearence on Fergusen last night. They looked great and was worth enduring through the rest of the incredibly unentertaining and commercialistic humor of Fergusen.Laundry Room was great but no love from Fergusen. Scott looked like he felt as I did, a little out of the Perfect Space. So is marketing and entering the main stream I suppose.

And it's about time he sees the Avett Brothers play live! He's three now and has been dancing to their songs for two years! Keeping the family tradition alive! The Fox Theatre is the greatest venue I could imagine for them to play.

Phenomenal performance boys. I made my roommate watch it with me and by the end of it his jaw was dropped. He didn't know what to think about 4 men playing 6 instruments that fast and intense. All i could tell him was, "yeah man, you should see it live!"

speaking of, Louisville on the 30th? is gonna be epic, and ATL on new years day? what a champion way to start 2010!
