As our Second Day of Avett comes to a close, we wanted to share a special bit of news from our friends at Paste Magazine.

We are excited to announce I and Love and You has been named Paste Magazine's Top Album of 2009!

We are honored to have been selected, and are grateful we can share this news with all of you during our week of holiday surprises.

Looking forward to the visit to Columbia, MO, in March. I was introduced to you guys around two years ago and have been hooked ever since. Since then, I have managed to get quite a few of my friends hooked to you guys. Made both of your last concerts in Columbia and am stoked that you are coming back. The new album is GREAT! Just wanted to say my wife and I love the new cd,we have listened to this over and over again.I listen to it going to work, we listen to it at home, We watch your videos at home all the time. Believe me you do not have any bigger fans than us.I just wanted to say thanks for all the great music and only wish they would play this great music on the radio, we can't wait to see you at merlefest. We have ALL of your CDs by the way.WE would love to have a full live show set of you on DVD.A lot of people don't even know who you are yet and I tell them you're missing out on some GREAT MUSIC. By the way, my husband just told me what he was doing. I told him to mention that WBT in CLT has mentioned the AVETT Brothers many times. They play clips of them and I am soooo happy they do. AVETT Brothers are awesome! I hope people catch on. We've seen them at Merlefest many times. I would love for them to go go to Shakori Hills in the spring.
And, I cannot stop listening to "I and Love and You" in my Toyota! I try to listen to another AVETT CD and can't!!!
I work at Old Navy and I was THRILLED when I actually heard your song on our CD in the music system!!

Im not sure who loves the new album more, me or my 5 year old son! Every morning this week the first thing he wants to do, is listen to kick drum heart (we have a funny little dance we do) and next he has to hear slight figure of speech! My boy has great taste in his choice of tunes, but Im glad he is over his Ramones kick and now rocking out with TAB! Thanks for the album! Hope to have you back close to Cincinnati sometime real soon! My son was mad when he couldnt go with me to see you guys a few months ago. Im hoping to catch you guys at a festival in spring/summer so I can bring him along.
