Just got back from the festival--the Brothers put on a great show, as always. After their set, everyone was buzzing about them, talking about how they were their favorite act. It was especially great to hear the older crowd--those primarially there for Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Arlo Guthrie, etc.--talking about the band's energy and excited to check out their records.

Listening to the set as I write. It always amazes me the amount of energy that the brothers put into each song! I just got done listening to Denouncing November Blue.....great version...love this set so far...and I'm sure I'll love the rest of it.

Hi, guys!
This is my second comment here.
I'm from São Paulo - Brazil, and I've heard about you for the first time on John Grogan's blog.
You guys are great! I can't stop listening to your songs, you are just great!
The first song that I've heard was Will you return and I fell in love for the band! Lately I've been listening a lot to Distraction #74, Pretend Love, Travelling Song and A lover like you. Well, actually I've been listening to all of them!
Just the other day I was thinking that I never got the chance to see my favorite bands perform... and on the next day it was all over the websites and papers that Paul McCartney is comming to Brazil next year! And I deeply hope that you'll come here too! You already have lots of fans here... It would be great!
But well, I'll be waiting! And for now I just feel privileged to get the chance to know the band and hear the songs! (Thanks, Grogan!)
And congratulations for the songs, they are just amazing!

I was writing down the set as I was listening and I had only heard them perform that song once or twice...so I wasn't sure.

Awesome set though. Left on Laura, Denouncing NB, Distraction #74, Go to Sleep and Kick Drum Heart was all on my wish list, and although I always enjoy Seth, I was hoping to hear a bit more of Scott's part in the Distraction #74 chorus, Seth's vocals seemed very loud...

But that's not a complaint....more like a observation.
And although I really enjoyed it...next time a live visual stream would be so AWESOME!

Listened to it live...all the performances from Newport have been great so far. Hoping NPR will archive it...Counting down 'til Charlotte!

PS-I believe the one after "Would be Sad" is called "Dream Appointed"...not 100% on that, though...
