This Thursday, February 18th, we are making an appearance on The Food Network's Ace of Cakes!

We will be headed to visit the folks at Charm City Cakes, to do a lot of baking and a bit of playing. Can't wait for you all to see our performance, complete with a special "Avett's themed treat."

i finally watched the show. i'm not much of a fan of AOC, but it was cool to see the guys playing in a bakery. not many people can say they've done that!

I swear Scott's face was priceless when he walked in but when he was like "wassup ya'll" i thought i was gonna pee in my pants. They are just so thankful and down to earth people. The fame will never change who they are and for some reason seeing them on here really proved to me how much they love who they are and what they do. It makes me proud to be an AVETT fan

To get to see you guy's perform on that show was awesome!!! Great looking cake and of course great looking guy's! I just have to disagree with the guy who made the cake though. He said banjos are not the most popular instrument out there.... well not in my world buddy!! LOL!!!

Very cool to see the Avett Brother's on any occasion. It's too bad the main focus was on Oprah (who I am sorry to say, I can't stand her). Plus she didn't even make an appearance on the show. Oh well, still great to see The Avett Bro's! Cool cake as well. See you in Minneapolis in two weeks! I can't wait!

I am in Canada and programming must be different here..... Because the episode I am seeing isthe "Four letter word for pastry" one...... They are on the "Oprah" one right??

I'm a amateur goofy cake decorator...i made a beard cake for my brother-in-law's former band "Weird Beard"... it was pretty awesome if i do say so myself

I'm confused. The Ace of Cakes website's episode description for this date says nothing of this? It says:

Duff makes a cake for the Firefighter Combat Challenge and attempts the challenge course. Plus cakes for a giant red dragon,a huge Globe cake for the International Bridge, Tunnel, Turnpike Association.

Avett Brothers! I am from Baltimore MD and used to work at a big wine store literally 4 doors from Charm City Cakes! It was called The Wine Source (it has a great selection of wine, beer and liquor BTW)

Are you going to post a video of your performance/the whole show on here or somewhere else cause I don't get the food network I'd love to see the performance at least so let me/us know!
