August 8th is coming up this Saturday, and we couldn’t be more excited to be coming home for our only Charlotte 2009 Performance!
We’re really looking forward to this special show, and are happy to see so many of you are coming out.

Newport Folk Festival has come and gone, but we still have a few bits to share with you all…

First Show
My first time coming out to an Avett Brothers show, much less, hearing any of their music. I'm an avid Dave Matthews fan, and am now an avid Avett Brothers fan. This was definitely the most fun that I've ever had a concert. I look forward to going again. This is revamping how I make my own music, and I love it.

Blown Away!!!
Although my wife and I have been listening to the Avett Bros for a while, last night's show was our first. It will definitely not be our last! I have never seen a group of performers who put so much enthusiasm and energy into their music. I can't wait to see them again. And again. And again.
I Have Heard the Ultimate Avett Bros Concert!!
The Bojangles Concert was the best damn EVER Avetts Brothers concert I have attended. The shear intensity of the crowd, the utter enthusiasim from Seth, Joe, Scott and Bob is totally impossible to capture in word. There was an electricity in the air, the likes I have only experienced with a handful of lengendary artists. They may be heading "north" but the whole world is on the brink of hearing and falling in love with a band that has a passion for music like none before.
I just sat back and drank it all in - mesmerized by the spell that only the Avetts can cast upon their audience. And, at the end I cried knowing that these Concord boys will soon be embraced by all -- no more ours but belonging to the world. And like the lengends before them, they will be copied by younger generations thirsty to drink in a new sound - one that has never been heard before.
Good luck to you Brothers - you deserve it all and more.

At Long Last... Let the Good Times Roll!
My friend and I are SO EXCITED to be driving to the Charlotte, NC Show from Atlanta. Music brings a smile to the soul, and the Avett Brothers lead the way for me. They are ... since the very first time I saw them ... my love-love-love-must-have-every-day-go-to-band. Those boys bring light me up inside! They are the reason I love music so much! I have to see them again before the days of the intimate shows are gone. I cannot imagine a better place for a "Graduation show" than Charlotte. I am excited to give my congratulations and say goodbye to this phase of their career. The next phase is well deserved, and I am so happy for TAB, but it will change things. Change is good, and change is necessary, but it's exactly that - change.
Here's to the glory of The Avett Brothers and all they have done for us. Here's to what they will do for everyone else. Here's to them staying true to themselves and their fans. I know that they will rise to the occasion and make us all proud of how they handle success. Thanks for the past 5 years - here's to many more! It's been a great ride!

Mad-crazy birthday weekend ensues tomorrow night (Thursday), ends Monday, and the culmination of the whole thing is the Charlotte show. Can't wait !!!
There was a dream and one day I could see it. So, like a bird in a cage I broke in and demanded that somebody free it. And there was a kid with a head full of doubt, so I'll scream 'til I die or the last of those bad thoughts are finally out.
