I teach at a boarding school with students from 30 countries and 22 states. I have students from Mali, Tibet, India, China, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Switzerland, Germany, etc... all who come to me with the expectation that I teach them about what it means to be a citizen of the world. I teach literature, and strive to capture the essence of what it means to be human. All of humanity is bound by common experience and collective intelligence. What better way to continue to promote the value of art and literature to our global community than to have a classroom edition of the I&Love&You boxset? I could frame and display all of the prints and albums, and have the disk playing everyday when students enter class.
This way, I can leave my boxset at home.
From the doors of my classroom, students will travel across oceans and continents, all the while singing, "Brooklyn, Brooklyn, take me in..."
